Do you have any suggestions on driving traffic to payhip sites - for those who don't have Etsy.
@fernandquill9 күн бұрын
Great question, thanks for asking! I'll be real with you; I can give you plenty of suggestions, but all will take time, dedication and/or money. We all wish it could be done easily and quickly (thanks to all the gurus online that wrongly tell us so) but no one thing will be a magic bullet for driving traffic. Even having an Etsy shop takes a lot of work to get decent traffic. So, with that said, I'd do some searches online to determine which method of driving traffic is one you feel you can dedicate yourself to. For example, ideas might be Pinterest, SEO, paid ads, email marketing, building a large social media following, KZbin channel, etc. All of them *can* work, but only if done well. So, choose one or two, then put your heart and soul into it over the long term.

Just watched this and wow you made it so easy! My question is if I want to use it on a AOP tote bag in Printify, why wouldn't I use the full pattern instead of just one tile. Or I can still do that? Still learning! Thank you for the easy to understand video.
@fernandquill11 күн бұрын
Great question, thanks for asking! You can use both depending on the purpose. A pattern tile is designed to seamlessly repeat no matter how large the object it's being printed on. So, if you're uploading to Spoonflower, for example, you must upload the seamless tile so it can print on rolls of fabric or wallpaper. Whereas as a tote bag on Printful can use either repeating pattern or a design created to suit the dimensions of the tote bag.

Hi there, I love the design of your home page - how were you able to remove the all products view?
@fernandquill20 күн бұрын
Hey there 😊 I was able to do that by creating a custom page, designing it how I like it, then setting that new page as my "homepage". I have another quick tutorial to show you how to do that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXvYlmOriZ51lbssi=gjbY_4Ak4LKPZRSK

Is it normal for one's product to not show up for sale on Payhip immediately? I created a product, but it's not showing in the category it's set to be in, despite the fact that its visibility has been set to be 'visible'.
@fernandquill24 күн бұрын
No, I'd say that's not typical unless another setting has made it invisible in that category. If you've done all the checks I'd say your next step would be to contact Payhip directly.

Is the QR barcode free forever? Or it will be unscannable after days to make you use the paid version?
@fernandquill26 күн бұрын
No, these QR codes don't work that way. They're called "static QR codes" which means they'll always lead to the URL assigned on creation, however if the website it leads to is broken, changed, or removed, then the QR code will no longer work.

thanks - can customers see this page from your store front
@fernandquillАй бұрын
They will only be able to access it from the URL or from clicking a link, so if you don't have it set as a menu item on your header then they can't see it on your store front. We call this a "hidden page".

Thanks for the info! What happens if you create the template link, the client gets an editable copy in their account, and then I delete the template on my side (because I don't want to keep it in my account)? Will anything happen to the client's copy? Wha about the media that was included in the design?
@fernandquill2 ай бұрын
Hi! They will keep their copy but won't be able to click your link again after you delete it. The media will still be available on their design.

Can you make a QR code that links to a PDF not a website?
@fernandquill2 ай бұрын
Yes you can, but only if the PDF is uploaded to a website or Google Drive/Dropbox/OneDrive. If it's uploaded to Wordpress, for example, it'll have a unique URL. Same with Google Drive/OneDrive - you'd upload it and adjust the sharing settings to 'Anyone with a link'. Then, you create the QR code using that URL/link. Do you need instructions specific to either of those options?

Great video. Thank you. I am trying to create some Canva frames to use for cookie designs. I understand the basics, but I haven’t quite figured out how to make a multi-layer or create a frame that allows you to fill one side of an object different than the other side. For example, a baby onesie, where I might one one side to have a print and the other side to have a different print or color. Do you have any tutorials that would help with this. Thanks!
@fernandquill2 ай бұрын
Hey Tracie! Glad the video was helpful for you. With your multi-layer one, you can create it just like that, multiple layers. So create your first layer only covering the area you'd like for the first section, then repeat the process for any subsequent section. Then bring all the layers into a single design in Canva, moving each layer so they line up. Not sure I'm describing that clearly. Do you happen to have Adobe Illustrator?

Hello, I tried this, however, the rectangle boxes still appear in my final exported pdf. How do you make the boxes not visible in the downloaded pdf?
@fernandquill3 ай бұрын
Hiya, unfortunately this isn't something you can control in PDFEscape. The line around the boxes will probably only appear in some PDF viewers like Adobe reader, but not others like some online viewers. It's an absolute pain, I know. Do you use Canva by chance? You can add your links to PDFs in Canva and they won't show a line or border around them. Let me know if you need a walkthrough ☺️

Hi, why i have no shape format in my Word, when i insert the pdf? thanks
@fernandquill4 ай бұрын
If that's happening, it means Word is not detecting the element as a shape and the shape menu/formatting option won't appear. There's a couple of things you can check to troubleshoot this; 1) Check that you're not flattening the PDF when you export it from Canva. 2) Double check your element is a vector. You can do this by seeing if you can change the colour of the element in Canva. If you don't get the colour changing element, then it probably isn't a vector. Let me know how you go after checking these two things.

Was wondering am I allowed to use images from Pinterest such as Pokémon characters or is this copyright protected images?
@fernandquill4 ай бұрын
Hey! It really depends on what you plan to do with the patterns or designs once you've finished with them. If you're using them solely for practice, then it's fine because they're not for commercial use. However, if you plan to use them commercially, such as sell them as digital files or print them on products to sell (such as mugs, for example) then you cannot use them as you're not licensed to do so.

Hey, there. It's the end of August 2024 and I think they did away with the RESIZE button again, but this time it is not located within Magic Switch either?? The only three options within Magic Switch are: Translate - Transform - Convert to Presentation. Any clue where it is?
@fernandquill5 ай бұрын
Hiya @GuerlineDee - I'm sorry for the delay in replying, I've been on a break, hopefully you've figured out a solution, but if not: there's a few things that come to mind - firstly, are you on the Pro plan? I believe resize is Pro plan only, however you'd still see the resize button so it's probably not that. Second thing, depending on what "artboard type" you're using (eg. Document, Presentation, Video etc.) the buttons available might change. Do you see the resize button on any of your other designs?
