Listening to these half-asleep announcers really shows how good we have it these days with Diffey and T-Bell.

I just love watching IMO the best era in Indy Racing outside of present-day racing. I almost forgot how good Jr. Was back in the day. I love how Paul Page is constantly challenging, Bobby Unser, but the master always wins. Outstanding coverage from a veteran team from top to bottom. The present day, guys in the booth are outstanding as well. Much thanks for uploading IMO the greatest racing series on the planet then and now.

This is when Indy racing was at its Pinnacle. There were just 2 pieces missing Paul Tracy and the French driver Bourdais. Once they retired, it took over a decade to get respect amongst Americans. I think we're doing just fine nowadays. That's when Walmart was Kamarts bitch. How times have changed. I think the sport would do just fine racing at Surfers Paradise in 2025.

That was dangerous when you saw the crash in the pits between Michael Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi, I’m surprised they didn’t get fined as a punishment.
I would like to know are they going to put a parment car race track in houston texas Harris County? Has plenty of land

Wow gutsy pass by Al Unser Jr what a driver! Seems like it always was raining in one part of this course and not the other. Always fun to watch.

Sullivan was one of the most underrated drivers of this Golden Era of CART/Indy Cars, if a superstar Indy 500 winner and 88 title winner could be considered underrated. If he hadn't broken his arm in '89 very likely would've been right in the mix for the title again and of course was breezing to another Indy win in '88 until his front wing adjuster broke (of all stupid things...same thing happened on Big Al's Penske car too...Roger playing games in Rick's favor?) causing the front to give up and tossing him into the wall. He was a nice guy with the playboy image out of the car but when he put that helmet on very few have ever been tougher, more competitive, or talented behind the wheel of an Indy car.

Odd how the CART TV rights were split up back then. Would NEVER happen today.

Lovely. Remember Ted Musgrave’s #16 blue and red Family Channel Primestar car from 1994 to 1997? I do. I love it. I also love his #16 Yellow and Blue Primestar car from 1998 as well. I’m from Melbourne Australia by the way.
