2015 IndyCar Series: R1 St. Petersburg

Hello all,
After a horribly long off season, the 2015 IndyCar season finally kicks off at St. Petersburg. While the massive winglets might look very bizarre to open wheel aesthetic expectations, I'm atleast personally glad to see some creative engineering coming back to IndyCar.
Also very nice to see some new blood in this year. Capping credit should go to: aowzone. Thanks very much!

I find it interesting in what they were saying at 1:50:00 about Montoya and his adaptive driving style. Thats the way you have to drive a NASCAR stock car, he had to learn that when he went there.

The Aero Kits make the cars look neat, but I think they are more of hazard when in an accident.

Alexander Love I would say the Aerokits are about 20% of the problem in that regard. 40% is the track which lends itself to crashes and the other 40% is the drivers which I think have gotten just a little lazy after 3 years with the indestructible DW12.

Taras Shevchenko I agree, but you have to remember that the new multiple winglets must weigh the same as the old DW12 winglets. Basically, these front wings are much more fragile.

MrMilli The next race that you uploaded has already been deleted. What does the Indycar association have to gain with getting it deleted? How on earth am I supposed to watch it here over in Europe? Just like F1, Indycar seems reluctant to embrace social media.

MrMilli Do not worry, I've had a problem uploading the Louisiana race. It was not taken down, just the video file is a little corrupted and I'm working to fix that. I hope to have it reuploaded very soon

+MrMilli Indycar isn't like F1. They actually have uploaded their own full races on the channel. You would probably only find the full 2012 and 2015 seasons on there but it's actually truely awesome they are doing that. Nascar started to upload their full races at around 2013 and I like how everytime you miss a race and forget to record it and there is no re run you can go on KZbin and search it up. Although I do wish it was 60fps for real time action but hey, It's up there.

The Pratt & Miller (Chev) aerokit turned out to be less draggy than the Wirth (Honda) aerokit. But, both were seriously hideous looking.

No Comments for ages from the Commentators on the Pit Crew Mess ups for Will Power when they left the jack in @2:07:00 or the Crew removing the jack too early for Helio a minute later. Saw it myself sitting right by the pits, most missed it there as well. F1 does a much better job of calling things live, for whatever reason.

Yeah. The ABC broadcasting crew is terrible. Sadly, that's the few races most people get to see live. The NBCSN is light-years ahead of what these geriatrics attempt to 'provide'. Wait and see the difference from this to Louisiana.

I personally don't think it's about the drivers as much as it is the restart procedure. Indycar bunches the field up in the final corner.

smileyriley206 Juan Pablo was in F1, so was Sebastian Bordais, there are some top top drivers in Indy, but... there are also some very average ones which is a rarity in F1.
