RIP Paul Di Anno (1958-2024) Aggressive and powerful voice.

Amazing how good this sounds 44 years later.😮 This sound is just a couple of years after the Sex Pistols were doing their thing.

A good time for the band, but not their best time. People can say that they prefer this line up or the two first albums, but there is not their best or even raw or hevier stuff. Killers its a litle bit comercial to me. The number of the beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave, Somehere in Time, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, are their best material with no doubt.

I remember hearing Number of the Beast album for the first time in about '82. My first thoughts were that I can't get into this new singer and that he seemed to warble around the melody without holding it. Sorry, but it's now 2023 and I still can't get into that new singer.

I 'just went to a concert'. I would have LOVED to see Maiden with Paul. I have seen him with Di'Anno, but never with Iron Maiden alas......
