I have a 80s Winchester 1200 Defender and it looks exactly like yours. A 18" barrel nice wood stock and chambered for 3" also. I don't really know the difference between the 1200 and the 1300 to be honest and especially in the defender models.

My father in law passed away I found it in his closet along with his other guns . My mother in law let me have it since then I've did away with the Pistol grip put a full wooden stock on it. I love it I will never sell it .

I have an X1 pro. Very happy! Their proprietary wedge is metal and all the screws mate to this. Super tough! Although the rubber for the retention adjustment loosens over time. This could be fixed with stackable washers instead. Anyway, very adjustable, perfectly functional.

Bought mine brand new in 1981 at a store called OTASCO. Still runs like a champ today. It stays close among other tactical/riot shotguns placed for easy access in my home and shop and pickup. No grandkids to worry about,,,,,yet, but hopeful. 😂 They come along I’ll change how I deploy my weapons in and around my home, but the old 1300 Speed Pump Riot gun, mine does have RIOT on the barrel will be among the first hard hitting weapons they are taught to shoot, just like their fathers were.

My goodness , has it ever been more difficult to pick a sling , should be the simplest mod to any firearm build but not the case … It’s expensive to simply experiment and try a few .. Of course magpul makes some decent options that I have ran on a few different fighting guns but at the end of the day the vickers is hard to beat . Don’t agree on the 1000% markup they make you pay for the $3 in nylon and hardware they spend making the sling but that’s the world today … Thanks for the video bud , good stuff

The tag ends can be cut off and take a lighter and melt the cut edge. Also, you can leave a little extra and Velcro and or use a little gorilla tape to secure the tag end, so you don't mistakenly grab it.

The custom sling builder option on their website has been available for easily several years or more and still is to this day. I've had nearly a dozen various custom slings built by them over the last few years for my combat shotguns, rifles and pistols. They're no BS slings and tough as hell. I've heard the story of a couple of cops patrolling up in eastern Washington state a while back and one of their patrol cruisers sliding off a snow covered road. With no tow cables or other recovery equipment available to the officers, they used the only 'straps' they had available: their bfg rifle slings. The other patrol cruiser was able to tow the stuck cruiser back onto the road and get back on patrol. The only 'casualty' was a broken piece of sling hardware. Highly impressive if you ask me.

I think I bought mine in 1979, still have it and it's still one of my favorite shotguns. Countless rounds through that old gun and still as slick & reliable as it was when it was new! 👍
