Been shooting/ hunting with Remington 870s all my life… never once had an issue, but that’s just my experience.

Love the 12 gage shotgun....best for home defense...00 buck has 9 pellets .330 Dia in size bigger than a .223...so you have to squeeze the trigger 9 times on an AR to get what a shotgun gives you with 1 squeeze of the trigger....great video enjoyed the info.

.223 expands it's wound channels at rifle velocities bud, the damage is pretty comparable.

Would a 2 point sling block the light beam or is the light head protruding far enough to clear it?

Based on where the sling attachment is, its definitely put the sling in the way of the light at times. But it shouldn't be a constant issue with good sling management. This is always important, due to the nature of the pump action.

Too "Slippery" the one I have feels rubberized, nice grip. The Streamlight TL Racker is much better price, it's much lighter, it's 1,000 Lumens, but upon working the "slide" can cause issues turning on and off easier as you gotta grip the slide. The Surefire having 600 lumens is pretty good for in the house. I have mine on the Mossberg Shockwave. It does put some weight to the end and oddly helps mitigate the recoil and barrel rising. So there's that.

So I agree with everything for the most part. There is one very underrated and misunderstood real world reason that a shotgun is more viable over a rifle. That’s close proximity to neighbors and pedestrians, example is a apartment complex next to mall. Shoot a rifle inside of an apartment, even with hollo points, will still travel through walls and what not. Not ideal for the legality of it all. That being said 00 Buck will still go through several walls too, but an interesting note is the FBI did a study on shot shells penetrating walls and other barriers. There’s a lot of scientific data supporting #4 Buck for those worried about over penetration. Food for thought. Love the video, again you’re right on the other points. Don’t rely on a sound to scare an intruder, yes you have to aim the shotgun and yes Remington guns can be finicky. The sure fire light is over rated honestly. I have the stream light on my 870 and it’s been a very good light in my experience.

This weaponlight seems like it's 9 steps backwards. 200 lumens ain't much, and a dual-output weaponlight is kinda goofy. Why is my PISTOL light brighter than a SHOTGUN light?

I think this model comes from Remington with the extension, but I'm not 100%.

What do you do if your in a state like California where an ar-15 is basically not very viable? What would be your alternative?

Mini 14, mini 30, or an M1A, all can be had unaltered besides a 10 rd mag in CA.

@@Hehanni i believe CA, and i know NY does, ban flash hiders on semi autos. That turns rifles, especially the m1a, into a dangerous flamethrower. If you want a defensive weapon in those states, id skip rifles all together get a shotgun just like one in thie video.
