@@amend5269 not for everyone lol we catch them a lot in the spring, mainly a nuisance and they claim they eat a lot of small game fish. So rather then wasting the delicious meat I figured I’d share how prepare. Enjoy 👍

@@swamplandoutdoors a buddy of mine lives around tallulah. Just moved there recently. He asked me to come down and turkey hunt one of them areas but don’t even know if there’s turkey in those parts. I live in Missouri. It’s a 6 1/2 hour drive for me down there. I’d love to load up and go. Just don’t know much of that area.

@@riverrat3231 they have turkeys there but the wma gets pressured hard, if he had some private land parcels to hunt it would definitely be worth the trip.

I also live in louisiana. Had a man from Arkansas tell me one time that louisiana birds have been the hardest ones he's ever been after

@@henrylopez-n1x thanks man! We mainly fish area 9 and hunt area 4 close to the state line. I’m pumped up about turkey season this year I missed out last year due to work.

@swamplandoutdoors I think between work and family I might have hunted twice last year. I hunt area 3 knf and peason ridge. I'm hoping I can hunt more this year even if it's in the evening. I get off work at 3, so I have plenty of time now

Add a little Alum to that icewater it'll Draw it up too,,I like to mince it up add some green onions, lil chopped up jalapenos pepper , a egg, just a drop of crab boil in dat bout a tablespoon of flour as a binder then flour, Make me some patties out it , Lil flour in a pan to put on them before you pan fry em up , that's some good stuff right there y'all ,

I haven’t personally had one that tasted like dirt. I only catch them in the spring time when we get plenty of rain maybe that kinda cleans them out?

If you are catching a lot of the apple snails you might look into seeing about a market for them, people like escargot.

Handy tip: it comes with the spare locking pegs. I removed the pegs from one of the sticks and that stick is always the last one in my stack. The pegs on the last one aren't needed because you're not locking an additional stick to it. That'll give you an additional set of spare pegs. 😁

After you lock the stick to the tree, pull the bottom step away from the tree and pull toward the ground to seat the step so it won't slide down on you when you step on it. If it's not seated, and you step on it and then it slides, you can potentially bend the part that's biting the tree.
