Handy tip: it comes with the spare locking pegs. I removed the pegs from one of the sticks and that stick is always the last one in my stack. The pegs on the last one aren't needed because you're not locking an additional stick to it. That'll give you an additional set of spare pegs. 😁

After you lock the stick to the tree, pull the bottom step away from the tree and pull toward the ground to seat the step so it won't slide down on you when you step on it. If it's not seated, and you step on it and then it slides, you can potentially bend the part that's biting the tree.

@@kylemurray7086 yes Me(Buckshot) and Dirtman use saddles as our primary stand. Especially during bow season on public land. There are scenarios when we may use a climber or lock on or even a box stand on a easy street hunt, but overall we find saddles to be our go too method.

These are the type of videos that get a product sold. A lot of the time you watch a video of just the set up and how they climb, this shows that the sticks are durable in what could be a bad situation in the woods. Safety in the outdoors is the number one priority and having good equipment is a major part in doing that. I give tethrd a thumbs up on the product and this video is a good demonstration on why I do.

Make sure you pull the bottom of the stick out when you set them on the tree..the bottom standoffs are bending when that step is missed..Tethrd is replacing them when it happens..I've got a set myself.. Awesome sticks👍👍

Becareful going Two sticks up without atleast a linesman. If you had gotten one of the bad ones with the faulty Standoffs you would've gotten hurt! Nice video!!

Don’t let the name fool you it’s “heavy hunter” approved. Yes they are first gen steps for Tethrd but the “Skeletor” steps are similar to the old “Leverage” sticks that have been discontinued. The Skeletor is a lighter and stronger stick as well.

Sweet test of the Skeletor. I just went ahead and purchase mine for this year hunt. Like you guys said, don't wait until hunting season is here. Lately everything I buy is always months out wait.

Good deal! Yes the last two years we have experienced the same slow delivery time, a lot of it is waiting for materials from what we hear.
