gonna show us a great telescope but no footage of the nebulas?..Why even bother..Hey heres a great telescope folks worth about million will we show you any footage..Noo ofcourse not you must be joking..Seen these kinds of videos everywhere but they never show you planets or nebulas or anything..Whats the deal really?..Is it really too hard to attatch a camera and atleast show us some footage of what this can show us or as usual is that asking too much?

This.. this is what I would spend money on if i had made better life choices ;-). No fancy car, no planes, don’t need a big house, just a nice small place under bortle 1 sky’s with this setup next to the house. Sure my days and nights would be mixed up but it would be so worth it.

Quite lovely. The only comment I'll make, as an architect who's worked on observatory project in the past, is the masonry paving surrounding the enclosure. This is a potential heat sink, which can re-radiate thermal differential micro-environment turbulence, mainly in the early evening, potentially impacting seeing; imaging;data S/N quality. But this could be remedied with a low-density alternative, such as a wood deck walkway. Not a big expense in future. But, really, no biggie. Again: lovely work!

Nice build!! Curious setup on the opposite side of the cameras there... Two refractors for visual I'm guessing? I wonder how well that works.
@SeaWestObservatories
@SeaWestObservatories 7 ай бұрын
The "scope" on the opposite side is actually just a long tube with mirrors in it that reflects the light down from the large 1M telescope. Inside the telescope the secondary mirror can turn 180 to direct the light to the opposite side of the camera. So that allows people to view the object visually then they can rotate the mirror and go back to imaging!
