I had the same issue, but I resolved it by adding an external powered USB hub on the PC end, and so far, no dropouts

What is the max weight in LBS the four actuators can handle? I envision mounting them to the 4 sides of my 737 Full Cockpit. Total weight the system can support and max travel expected? Thanks

Hello, i built a welded iron frame driving simulator so its more heavy than aluminum ones.I would like to make it to move using a 4dof system. Can i use the actuators in this video ? What is their maximum permitted weight ?And another question, do i need something else or just the products explained in this video ? Because i see people saying they used them for their SFX100,what is that ?

Thank you!! I fixed my GH70 headset I just bought on gumtree. Plugged it into USB 2 hub into USB 2 port and now I can record and play sound at the same time! Before I could only get listen OR record and got 'not enough resources' error when plugged it directly in to USB 3 motherboard! I really liked your explanation about end points vs speed!

one thing i dont understand is why 80/20 rig builders always put the seat bar inside the rectangle frame instead of putting it on top of the long bars, to create a ledge they can rest on. because, if were resting circa 100kg in the seat plus acceleration, why just rely on those brackets fr strength?

I love how you made the heptic system. I am looking into doing that myself and thank you for sharing. I wasn't able to locate where to buy the servo.

I'm exploring making an SFX-100 rig myself at the moment, but I'm not sure I want to go down the route of 3d printing since it would be completely new to me (though I am undecided). Do you know of anywhere that the dimensions of the mounts are published? I'm trying to evaluate the option of fabricating using metal where I'm more comfortable, I've seen a couple of people that went this route. Anyway, great videos and really useful - looks fantastic and I look forward to joining the party some time next year!

I would have never started building motion sims if I had not found your channel my friend! Thanks for all your posts.. and for your enthusiasm to keep making stuff. I'm going to venture into the OSW waters in 2023 and attempt to use similar components. Now I'm off to watch your osw build.. Thanks again, DMAX

One thing I don't have which is really stopping me from buying the motors etc, is a printer. Is it possible to buy the printed parts I need or source them? Can't seem to find files anywhere for all the little printed plastic bits.

All of the electrical equipment you use like the computer and sim rig all need to be on the same earth ground. You will want put a self tapping screw into your sim rig frame with a wire attached to the same ground as the rest of the equipment. Doing this 100 percent solved my tracking "grey outs"

There are several factors that go into this: Some hubs use more endpoints than others. If you are mixed 2.0 and 3.0 devices on a hub it can use even more endpoints. It will reserve more endpoints than it should. The easy fix would just be to go AMD which have significantly more allowed endpoints even though technically by spec there's thousands, but xhci implementations vary and Intel sux with their implementation. Some of the pci hubs won't alleviate the issue as pci lanes on older Intel are shared lanes. I wish alder lake addressed this issue, but there's no indication it does. So it is still AMD moving forward for me. I have a lot of gear I need plugged in to USB that I all need working all the time. I can't have them dropping out.

In north america, we have 110 V at most of the outlet sockets (electric stove and water heater are usually connected to the 220) because the incoming 220 volts to the house is split by a grounded neutral; you can run a 220v power cord from your panel to your rig and connect the 220 volt equipment. Short run if your incoming panel is nearby - but less convenient if you're upstairs and the panel is in the basement.
@BeefSupremeAviationАй бұрын
Newer built homes with basement panels usually have a chase way for dropping new lines down for adding on. I plan on dropping a dedicated 220 line from my attic to the basement panel , across the attic then dropping it down into my office.

The Usb problem you had (around minute 7) is probably due to having too many usb devices AND using a port that is part of an internal hub. You’d need to find a USB port in your PC that is not part of a hub.
