What is the max weight in LBS the four actuators can handle? I envision mounting them to the 4 sides of my 737 Full Cockpit. Total weight the system can support and max travel expected? Thanks

Hello, i built a welded iron frame driving simulator so its more heavy than aluminum ones.I would like to make it to move using a 4dof system. Can i use the actuators in this video ? What is their maximum permitted weight ?And another question, do i need something else or just the products explained in this video ? Because i see people saying they used them for their SFX100,what is that ?

One thing I don't have which is really stopping me from buying the motors etc, is a printer. Is it possible to buy the printed parts I need or source them? Can't seem to find files anywhere for all the little printed plastic bits.

I am receiving this error message "Bitte Wahle einen com port aus" when I try to flash the Arduino. I have to set the COM Port with the same port as Serial Port, right? I took the COM number from 'devices and printers'.

Thanks for the video. I'm toying with the idea of building a sfx100 motion but I'm limited on power. Can you tell me the power draw in amps at the outlet? Thanks.

Thanks for all your effort you put in this vids. This thing is like a dream to me. Building your own motion platform. How good is the experience in combination with your vr? Is it that good that you forget that you are in a simulator?
@sixdegreesofflight77654 жыл бұрын
For racing sims absolutely yes! With VR in this rig YOU ARE THERE. It is not so convincing in flight sims though. It does add another level to the experience especially with larger aircraft and is totally worth it but not so much for aerobatic aircraft for obvious reasons such as barrel rolls :) So there are limitations. I like this rig better than the previous 6DOF I built - smoother, easier to get into, less space etc

Hi. May I ask why did you change from 6dof to 4dof?
@sixdegreesofflight77654 жыл бұрын
Sure. Quite simply, I have just moved into an apartment and didn't have the space for the larger 6DOF Stewart platform. The SFX100 is a much simpler build and easier to get into and out of. It doesn't have large batteries needed to soak up circulating currents and lastly is much more flexible to connect peripherals such as joysticks and pedals.

@@sixdegreesofflight7765 edit: No they werent 220v as I have seen. --you used batteries? Servos of the 6dof were 220v, right? (Thanks for answer)

@@BallestaRacing The motors used in the 6DOF are 24V DC. I used two 12V car batteries in series for each pair of motors.

How many KW it need when is used with simulator?

It only uses a few hundred watts. It certainly doesn't use anywhere near the ratings of the motors and drivers. Easy to run from a standard power point.
