It's probably been mentioned here several times... I think it's so cool that the Knopfler breathes life into his instrument without any distortion 🥰 ! And The interaction with Terry on drums is so impressive ! How long do you as a band practice a performance like that ??? I ask myself 😅

I can't find a good video... only the official music video which is the studio version. Another reactor did a good reaction but the ACDC video was terminated.

Stevie Ray came to Austin (from home Dallas) in the early '70s TRYING to follow big brother Jimmie's success. But Stevie Ray was still a punk-kid li'l brother, and just like at home, Jimmie wasn't too interesting spending time with li'l bro... "I've got my OWN thing going and I can't have my li'l brother hanging around, tying down, making me look like a saint." SRV head back to the homestead most of those years (school, etc) but he'd come down to Austin in those mid-70s and start hangin' out in the few blues joints but there were a LOT of rock & country joints. He'd sit in wherever he could. But in 1977, Stevie Ray pretty much moved to Austin. Austin was FULL of has-been's and wanna-be's and hidin'-out'ers, burn-outs, etc. It cheaper than NYC, LA, Nashville, and there was a fairly large guitarist community interested in helping each other - if they were someone else's li'l brother. But there may have been 100 or more top notch guitarists, fit for stage or session work. How to distinguish one's self? "Be acrobatic." Back flippers, running flippers, leg-splitters - and those guys realized they were considered similar in audiences so Showmanship became a stronger consideration. In a few years, SRV was doing all the on-stage antics he'd heard about, and doing them well AND being a stand-out guitarist. By 1980 or so, he'd been associated with several Austin performers/bands, and of course found the two fellows that would be Double Trouble. Then the keybioardist was added and he had a whole new level of sound AND showmanship.l

SRV had perfected Jimi Hendrix's performances - mostly by talking to and playing with the musicians who'd worked with Hendrix. He was not satisfied with copying Jimi but said his performances were tribute to Jimi WHO LACKED TECHNOLOGY - it was late '60s/early '70s tech. Amps, PA system, microphones, mixboards, even cables were substandard for audio reproduction. So SRV took up the mantle to use The Best Tech Available To Him for his tributes to Hendrix's catalog. These were testimonials - not rip-off copies. These were communions. Church-like honors. He went thru a lotta demons but he always have a reverence for Hendrix's music.

I am not a smart man, but i know a miracle when i see one! In credible! Do they have a Ramdy Rhoads one? Can i change guitarists? What about singing? Do they make one that will make my wife stop telling me to do the dishes? (Yes i know what it is) What a blessing for you my friend! Im not sure why you have the tremors but i pray you are healthy and happy! Great video!

I’ve been playing guitar since 82’! Anyways can you checkout Band Maid ‘Moratorium’ live at Zepp Tokyo please? Band Maid is an all female Japanese rock band that dresses up as cafe maids and shreds!🍺😆 These ladies are definitely no joke and play harder than most of the guys. Can I also get a shoutout for introducing them to you? If you like rock/metal you’ll probably love the Maids. They also have a descent size following on KZbin(over 40M views on reactions alone!)so why not check them out? 🍺🥴🤘🏻🕊️

recognized on the first hit! i have no idea what this is like, but looks about as difficult as ringing a 6" steel plate with a .22, off hand with irons, from 300m or so. takes time, experience, and lot of perseverance. i admire the dedication to keep playing, immensely. so happy the tech exists that keeps you jamming. i better start practicing again because whatever happens, our time is limited.
