The three Grimm Reaper figures are Norns. The Norns (Old Norse nornir) are female creatures who determine fate in Nordic mythology, some of whom are said to be descended from gods, others from dwarves or elves. Within the Indo-European religions and mythologies there is a relationship with the Roman Fates and the Greek Moirae. There are the traditional three life-determining Norns, the women of fate: They are called Urd (Fate), Verdandi (the becoming) and Skuld (guilt; what is meant to be). Die Nornen (altnordisch nornir) sind in der nordischen Mythologie schicksalsbestimmende weibliche Wesen, von denen einige von Göttern, andere von Zwergen oder Elfen abstammen sollen. Good Reaction! 👍 About the three Figures: Norne (goddess of fate in Norse Mythology) In Norse Mythology, the Norns are female beings who determine fate. Three Women of destiny are mentioned by Name: They are called Urd (fate), Verdandi (that which becomes) and Skuld (guilt; that which is to be). Their Names are regarded as Norse equivalents of common medieval concepts of time in the form of personifications of the Past, Present and Future.
