Desert fractions has interesting strategy btw: u can made architect machine with their skills, cause they have the best skill to minimize time of building (and made building cheaper), also they staks, so it something incredible (u can build all lvl4 buildings in city in 4 turns, something unreal). Mb it would work so well in total war mode, but even 1 general with such "social" and "architectics" skills would be worth, he could travel with slave army to keep ur territory safe and improve city projects. I think every player on desert fraction at least need to know that feature (check perks in cunnig and zeal) Kush hightear units are incredible. Love them, its sad a bit, that campaign is near winning point. It was nearly perfect campaign

Just a tip, the enemy can't hire all the mercenaries that you can hire bc for Carthage these are Faction mercenaries. You can see it by the Faction Symbol on the right hand corner of the Unit Card. The Getueli Army at Midgol could've only probably hired like 3 Mercs that are available in that region.

You were playing against Ai. If a very strong total war player had those troops in his possession such as the great youTuber *Legend*, you would feel the true power of horse archers.

If the game ai played as well as humans did, it would be impossible to beat the ai on legendary or even very hars difficulties, considering all the bonuses that ai receives and all the penalties for the player

This is the most entertaining campaign I've seen him do. The start forces him to play an aggressive play style that he has kept with the whole time that has been really cool to watch

I played DEI today and did not find it enjoyable. It felt like the base game with more handicaps. Units are much more expensive and limited by population. I simply cannot make my settlements or my generals happy. I can barely afford two full stacks as Carthage with three regions under my control while AI spams two full stacks with one settlement. At a river crossing battle, the AI pathfinding was bugged. It runs slow on my PC. And it crashed just after I defeated two full stacks of enemies. Just FYI in case you want to play DEI.
