Are you in any aspect a psychologist, a neurologist or a doctor? You use a lot of scientific jargon to explain your thoughts, but you're unlicensed, and are just a kung-fu/tai chi specialist of some sort. Why do you use pseudo-scientific jargon to give any kind of credibility to your speech if you have no scientific background/credential to start with? Why scammers who promote placebo/BS approaches always take the pseudo-scientific terms, and never have the credentials? I know you're probably making money out of this and it's the fastest road. But don't you think you should finish your studies, instead of building an easy-money scam based on belief and BS? Then you would be a real psychologist, and you could actually promote an honest work with dignity. You have no credentials whatsoever to give any advice about psychological or emotional issues, you have no connection whatsoever with "high performers" (you are not one, you didn't study anything that led to any license either), you are not a specialist in what you give advice for.

Yes! I loved your road metaphor for neural pathways. I often think of neural pathways like a groove in a record player - the needle is more likely to slip into that spot because there's a deeper path laid.
@MikeWangCoaching13 күн бұрын
Ooh, I love the analogy of grooves in a record! I'll have to use it in a future video (I already recorded tomorrow's video before seeing this comment haha). Reminds me of a time I hiked Mt. Parnassus here in Colorado. It's "only" a 13er, which many peak baggers look at in disdain because it's not a 14er 😂 But since not a lot of people hike it, there was no well-worn path to the top. So I had to create my own, which was both fun and scary at the same time :)
@MindfulCreativeMuse13 күн бұрын
I'm so glad you loved the analogy! I have to admit, I can’t take full credit for it-I’m pretty sure I heard it from a yoga teacher years ago. 😄 Your story about hiking Mt. Parnassus is such a perfect example! I love how you had to make your own path-there’s something really special (and a bit scary!) about taking the less-traveled route. It sounds like an amazing adventure! I can definitely see you sharing that in one of your videos-it ties in so beautifully with what you do. 😊
@MikeWangCoaching12 күн бұрын
@@MindfulCreativeMuse The analogy fits well, so thank you! I’m sure most of the ones I use originally came from somewhere else too :) Just evolving along the way. It was really scary lol. Complete with scrambling up rocks with an approaching thunderstorm (totally outside my comfort zone haha). But I made it to the top, and it was an amazing experience (that I lived to talk about). Thanks Cynthia!

Ah, thanks for the video idea 😆 I didn't come up with this distinction. I believe Brendon Burchard also has similar thoughts. In my mind, the importance is just having awareness around what's driving us to create and achieve.

It's absolutely so important to address emotions rather than supress them, no matter how painful it is. Bottling them up causes more pain in the long run!
@MikeWangCoachingАй бұрын
💯 We hold unprocessed emotions in our bodies, which can lead to physical tension and illness over time. This is a big part of what I help people with at my studio teaching kung fu, tai chi and qigong :)
@KingaGorskiАй бұрын
Spot on-it's normal, natural, and to be expected that we'll experience negative emotions. Welcome to being human. These emotions are actually beneficial to us because they provide us with information, such as there being some type of 'threat' in our environment that we must respond to and resolve. It's only when those lower frequency emotional states become chronic that they start to become maladapative. 〰
@MikeWangCoachingАй бұрын
Absolutely agree! Emotions are like muscles-we train them over time. When we repeatedly engage in certain emotional states, they become our default. It's all about consciously choosing the ones that serve us best.

My only emotions are Anger, Guilt, Sorrow, and Shame.
@MikeWangCoachingАй бұрын
I hear you. I've been there. It's natural to feel like anger, guilt, and shame are all there is. Especially if they've been with you for a long time. But I believe these emotions often mask deeper feelings. For example, for some it's sadness or a desire for connection. If you're willing to look deeper, you'll likely notice there's more to you than just these emotions. They're not who you are. I truly believe you have the power to transform them.

Trying to understand this way of relating...my child is an international adoptee and she self protects by being transactional. Its very painful to live with....
@MikeWangCoachingАй бұрын
Thank you for sharing this - it’s great that you already see her behavior as a self-protection mechanism. Transactional behavior often comes from a place of needing control or safety. While it’s painful, I truly believe that through consistent love, patience, and presence, things can slowly shift as she begins to feel more secure. Healing takes time, but your understanding and patience are powerful first steps. Sending you both strength.
