Everything about these guys for me (I was 12/13 when this happened) epitomises being a British person. They’re just so so awesome and I still watch the race and the documentaries about it. It was so special and to this day I still love it so much!

I loved watching Crammy as a kid at his peak in the 80's and was also a big fan of Steve Ovett. I didn't warm to Coe to quite the same degrees though he was a brilliant athlete. Now a real pleasure to listen to Steve's commentary.

57 year old Brit, getting my 6th star at Tokyo in 46 days……great to share the roads with a great of the sport! Good Luck Paula, you running the London marathon inspired me (eventually) to run at all, then run the (my 1st) London Marathon in 2011 aged 43….- 50lbs later, first Boston done last year my 16th in Tokyo soon…..you really inspired me to live better and longer…and have great friends ….!

@Tomridesandruns19 күн бұрын
Its not easy to hear, but if you are actually interested in the interview, then put up with the poor sound rather than moaning about it! Sometimes conditions aren't the best but you've just got to get on with it, just like running really

Background noise ruined it for me. Surely you could have found a better place to interview Paula. Great to ,(just about) hear she is running a marathon again. I expect she will break the womens over 50 record!

Iconic! What an inspiration to runners of all levels, everywhere. How wonderful to see. And a really positive message about how you can only control your own expectations, not the expectations of others. I've run for 20 years, run 31 marathons and had my worst year of racing last year. I've got a coach now and can't wait to get back to where I was. But it's for ME, not anyone else. Fantastic message!

About 20 years ago, I read Paula's autobiography: Paula Radcliffe: My Story So Far. A humble title by a woman at the peak of her career and the top of the rankings. In it, she was humble, and it was so refreshing. A great read. And now, at 51, she is the same humble, appreciative, personable woman. What a role model for us all. Good luck in Tokyo and Boston!

I am so happy that at 51 years old, she will still be running major marathons. I am 51 years old and also run marathon. People should continue to be active well into their later years, and she is an inspiration. Masters (40+) and Grant Master (50+) running (and running for all ages) is a great direction for societal health.
