These actual athletes work their arses off for years...having to run incredible distances. Whilst these 'So called sportsmen' run to the bar and throw a pointy object about 3ft. It's pathetic that he was even nominated.

I agree with you about Darts not being a sport. Darts, snooker and chess are NOT sports. However, Phil Taylor is still a Darts legend, no doubt about it.

Rumning is a sport? I should have tons of medals then , running for a bus , running a bath , running the local bingo , running nose , running for local elections and running up that hill.

@prideofdurham4776 Running is probably the oldest sport. It's easy to think of early men racing each other to a particular object ( a tree, for example ). But, the sport of running now contains super humans. Athletes doing things that should be impossible. It's not difficult to imagine a ordinary casual darts player doing a fluke 9 dart finish but it's impossible for an average jogger to run a four minute mile

Keely is great..........bbc not so great, they dont televise any sport really, and for them to pretend this award means something is tosh, great viewing without them having to pay anybody to appear, bloody joke. If I were a top sportsperson, and my agent told me Id been nominated for SPOTY, Id say call them back, Im not interested, rather have a blue peter badge
