One thing this is really missing is highlighting the weapons' special features detailed in their descriptions that make them what they are, like the Lens weapons leaving debuffs on a target or the Prism Driver zapping lots of individual targets around the impact area. Also, for how good this mod is, it's a real shame the modmaker was a stick in the mud and had to ruin it for everyone. This awesome mod is long due for a rework.

laziest colony guide: do not develop them. build farming, build patrol station, a low tech battlestation and just dont develop it with heavy industry. this keeps the luddites off your back and to an extent the pirates aswell (although you still can bribe Kanta to get pirates off your back, right?)

Don't know what mod it's from, but it's not a bad idea to run scrapyards in high warning systems. It's a precarious position to begin with, but once you get the ball rolling with strong fleets and supporting industry, it gets pretty broken

My favorite is to make a troll system, red warning farm/military planet where the redacted do the defending for you. Just show up to watch the pirates/hedge/league get wasted. Game's over if the AI saturation bombs your world though, so get good at controlling but not eliminating the natives.

I downloaded and used it to see what the HUGE CRIME AND DRAMA was about. It was so unoffensive and boring I uninstalled it like 20 minutes later. It's fucking text and jpegs. Murdering and bombing planets is okay, but the "assault" of a jpeg of a cartoon woman through text? NOOOOO, THAT'S BAD! And lets be real, that shit would happen. Yeah, it's bad, but technically the mod should be filed under realism. But I live in the real world, so I can differentiate the difference between a crime and an edgy mod made for shits and giggles. Having said that, I'll die before I let some entitled neckbeard whiteknight say what I can and can't do on my own computer, in my own home, in my own free time.

I let the AI fly my smaller ships, as they're too slippery for me, so I can't take advantage of some wild tactics involving tiny ships. Capital ships I manually control, because they're so fat you have to be terrible to lose control of them.

Mobility is pretty valuable. Conquests and odyssey are my go to ships but with .96+ I never see them for sale.

I find it funny/ironic how the game is about warcrimes, organ harvesting and space-terrorism, yet thats where modders/admins draw the line. I am very happy that there even was a KZbinr who had courage to say exactly what happened with this drama, even if USC mod mafia might cause them troubles for it. Should they ban you, then you can rest assured that Corvus will welcome you in without much trouble. But either way point stands, we cant let anyone from modders dictate what player can and cant do with their own copy of SINGLEPLAYER game with full modding support. Like why cant they just accept it like Rimworld did is beyond me, yet its practically the same mod situation as here. What is so funny about this all drama is that Starsector is a game where you do horrible things: you deal massive amount of drugs, harvested organs, arm space terrorists, Exterminatus entire worlds, kill millions of people, etc... And yet people get offended by an NSFW mod (honestly Im surprised even that there weren't any NSFW mods for Starsector before RS was created, especially with the "visual novel" potential of the game), because Im pretty sure when you raid or conquer a colony your guys definitely aren't doing terrible things to the populace... I here some say "well Starsector is a game about managing on the macro scale, you don't get to see what's happening up close and have to deal with the consequences of your actions", so they say that RS is too much. Honestly, I don't understand why they are getting pissed off by a MOD that is on a RANDOM WEBSITE and that you wouldn't find if you are not LOOKING FOR IT. And regarding the "evil" content of the mod, bruh, every moddable games have "evil" NSFW mods and they aren't getting upset about it, just look at Skyrim for example lol. What's even funnier is that even if you use RS, you can disable or look over the "evil" naughty mechanics, there is regular romance in the mod; WHATS MORE it has even evolved beyond a simple NSFW mod, because it hads many genuinely great Quality Of Life things and a lot more are planned lol, so its basically transformaing into a 4Chan MegaMod of all the things they want added to the game x) Regarding the whole drama specifically, because of it EVERYONE now knows about RS, so it completely backfired lmao The knowledge of the existence of RS was slowly growing up in the community but it still was relatively unknown, a sort of myth like VNSector, but the fact that many got offended and banned IroncladLion for a 2sec clip that no one would have guessed it was from RS is really hypocritical because if you are able to tell that this clip was from RS, the ONLY WAY to know is if you've played it yourself lol.
