Hello! I'm following your tutorial again :) I was wondering if it's possible for the sub Fibers to be a curve instead of a mesh; What I'm trying to do is to get only curves to take advantage of the principled hair shader...
@alexandre.albisser
@alexandre.albisser Күн бұрын
I think it will always need to be a mesh, you can't apply a material to just a curve, even with hair curve or hair particles, blender is converting them to a mesh under the hood, but in this cas you might want them to be thin strips rather than closed meshes, so for the profile curve in the curve to mesh you can put a simple curve line. Alternatively you can try doing those operation with the hair nodes from the Blender Essentials that come by default in latest releases so you can have all the controls of the Blender geometry nodes hair, although I have not tested that so not sure it will work right out of the box!

The way you merged the cat pic with the puzzle pieces... Can I do that with a mesh with volume?

How do i change the cards texture image after i did the whole pack?
@alexandre.albisser
@alexandre.albisser 8 күн бұрын
Just switch out the image texture used in the material in the shading tab. But of course if on your new image the cards are placed or spaced differently then this wont work and you will have to redo the operation again to map the uv offsets with the array modifiers.

True for zippers this can indeed be useful! Now I need a zipper generator with displacement that displaces around the shapes. Animating something to zip open is quite the hassle.

For version 2 of the asset pack my generator is almost ready, including local cloth simulation just around the zipper for nice déformation and much more!

Is there a way to distribute the planes more evenly in the mesh? (For example on a human character model, it works, but the arms have way less fractures than the torso bc they are way smaller. Can somenone help?

Hi there! If you don’t mind me asking, what do you charge for a project like this? I’m thinking one with much less complexity and ‘life’ in the cards, and more just show-casing them in a fun way.

Hello, do you know how to create 3D puzzle modelling kit that are usually sold as flat foam/wood and they're precut when you assemble them piece by piece in Blender? Here's some examples: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJ3YYquPjq-cj7ssi=e61lUGqPrlcpepwW kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZvNn6augNaUfa8si=wO_Mn8puih8m9uEz kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3KzZaumnJWhsMksi=Q9uWe__4lT_oh33I

Very interesting work. The way you thought this out is wow. So who is the target market for this addon?
@alexandre.albisser
@alexandre.albisser 2 ай бұрын
Thanks! The main target is anyone who wants detailed garments while keeping the simulation really simple. You could just make a really simple garment in Clo or Marvelous with little to no details, and simulate it without having to deal with too much self collision and so on (especially useful if you simulate in Blender) and add all details after the fact! There is also a full side of it which implements texture feature to reduce the need to texture manually or in Substance for the edges.

For something rather complex, you have the ability to make it make sense. I somehow understand the concept. A lot like Variants in Unreal.

Hi I saw in ur final clip that the box have thickness and look more realistic, how did u create a thickness to a plane image, tried several ways and not working, thx
@mahdi3467
@mahdi3467 2 ай бұрын
Even solidify modifier is just doubling the image with a space between .
@alexandre.albisser
@alexandre.albisser 2 ай бұрын
If you put solidify modifier on a plane which has some transparent parts, then the sides will just be transparent, hence your double image with space in between. The solidify only thickens the existing geometry so you must cut your plane to the exact shape of the box first for the modifier to create side thickness where you cut it, and make sure to remove the alpha in the shader in this case.
