How long did it take to warm up the hydraulic fluid??

We had 7 degrees in mid coast Maine. Frozen bare ground. With no snow in sight and a full schedule its time to grind the days away!

The T-62 is a Cold War tank, it wasn't made during wartime. The ugly welds on the sheet steel fender/mudguards and towing hook gate that you point out are more than strong enough for the job. The weld on the part next to the track at the beginning of the video is armour as well as a load-bearing structure, so you can see it's way, way prettier. If you inspect further along the fender you'll see that they don't even weld along the full edge of most pieces, because doing that would be pointless.

Sorry still bad workmanship and that tow hook would not hold

Good welds aren't going to stop or save you from anti-tank mines or rockets.......as long as the weld kept the part attached to the tank it was a success.

Honestly they just needed to crank them out as fast as possible for the war effort so a lot of military hardware on all sides of the battlefield put out crappy tech to give their guys the advantage
