Harbor freight has those discs also, when i need to replace my teeth, i buy the tips and replace them, u heat them up with a torch until they get red and flick off the carbide tip, then use Flux and heat the new tip up until its red, and presto u have a new tooth for a quarter of the price,

QUESTION! Getting in the game and buying a machine this week. Everything else is ready to go. I’m going after the smaller jobs in my area where the skid steers can’t get to or the home owners don’t want a torn up yard. There is no one in my area with a smaller grinder aside from the acme rents. I’m looking at either a bandit 2250 (462hrs) with a freshly swapped “upgraded size” 38hp Kohler ($17,000) Or a Vermeer SC30TX with 165 hours ($14,500) I’m wanting a take on Any residential yard with in means. thoughts on what to go with? I’m not concerned about the price point on the two. It’s the power difference, reliability and yard disturbance, but efficiency as well

Sorry to say neither machine ... I have owned the 2250 and it was discontinued for being under powered and the sc30 has a under powered hydraulic cutter system ... look for a sg40 and join the Bandit facebook page and the bandit SG40 PAGE

I didn’t know you were still sharpening your teeth. Can you run sharpened teeth a whole week or you need to resharpen over the week?

Depends what the conditions you run into if its just dirt yes

I own a sg-40 and have been checking and adjusting the belt every 10hours to the bandit specs with the double and single barrel gauge tools. I keep second guessing the specs beings it seems like it’s crazy tight. Any thoughts? Do you use the gauge tools or just go by feel/ experience?

By the way your videos and advice lead me to go with sg-40 rather than a smaller machine. Business is growing and the machine is an animal! Love it!

I did it by feel and one of the number 1 things is keeping the dirt cleaned out of the cover
