I’ve got 2 kids that refuse to eat. 3yo and 4yo. Done all the treats and we’ve ended up with eat the most high calorie food possible regardless of taste, texture, color, smell etc. For example a sweet bread sandwich with 3-4Tbsp (yes capital T) or more of butter, and 2-3T peanut butter, 1/2c heavy cream to drink with maple syrup . For example of recommended foods. They have both worked themselves into ketosis hypoglycemia. So as in all that. they are both below the 5th percentile and have been for a couple of years. Even had a hard time breastfeeding with their mom. SO now feeding is absolutely miserable. It’s gross and stressful. I’d never eat what they are eating. The two eat alone and the rest of the family now eats peace meal whatever they could grab on the way by. No meals, nothing. I’m always offering meats, veggies, fruits, carbs, grains etc. more than 95% of the food I buy gets thrown away. I have to cook separate meals for them because it’s so unhealthy. More than 6 meals a day. It’s crazy! I almost got them a G.I. feeding tube, hoping I would be able to focus on teaching them the pleasure of the experience of eating. But the day before the surgery was scheduled their pediatrician canceled it. Wanting this gross food routine to continue for another year. Now they won’t even look at a sandwich without a huge amount of butter on it first. What on earth am I supposed to do when I’m being told to do things with these kids that go against every single thing I’ve ever been taught and every single thing that I know is true and healthy? Is there any way to explain to the doctors that giving the G.I. tube would eliminate all the stress of feeding give them a little bit of control back and then provide the ability to mentally and emotionally learn how to enjoy food ? I just feel that this is such a horrible path we are being told to take. Help please

I’m a pretty quiet introvert with a toddler not talking or imitating yet. This is exactly what I needed! We just had a super fun session of stop and go and girl was imitating me so much already!

I have a 13 month old daughter, and she still hasn't said her first word. When im working with her, she won't attempt to copy sounds i make, let alone attempting to say any words. She has a few sounds she makes, and that is it. Im starting to worry about her development. She won't walk, she won't repeat sounds, and i don't know what more I can do. Ive tried everything suggested with no progress. Any advice would be wonderful.

I don’t like the insistence on hand-over-hand! This can be very uncomfortable and even scary for some kids, especially autistic kiddos.

Can you maybe do guided therapy videos?? I’m really struggling to do it myself as a teen. I think I have Echolalia because it started about a week ago where I repeat words from someone or when I see words. It’s really stressful because it’s not something that I’ve done, so I really want to treat it as much as possible. Thank you so much!

Thanks so much for your videos, I wish our SLP was as knowledgeable as you on the backend stuff like this. You cover the foundation of things very throughly but make it easy to understand. That only comes from someone that knows what their field deeply and doesn't only think linearly.

My 3 year old says a ton of phrases and word but doesn't know how to say what he feels yet. i feel like i'm failing sometimes as a full time working single mom its so hard. Especially since 2 languages are spoken at home! Any tips on getting him to talking more? I usually tell him what I'm doing and then ask him how his day was and if he had fun with grandma etc
