The only problem for me is that my apartment building (and my entire town) has calcium deposits in the water. The very water is the reason for my coffee maker getting backed up.

Yes, exactly. Just have to clean it every once in a while. Then eventually replace, but usually this will work to get through until then

Great video! I have a large staghorn. During a recent storm it appears that a piece of my staghorn broke off. It has a small "shield" that's attached however it has no roots. I'm wondering if I can mount it now or should I do something different to promote root growth and then mount it? Any advice is appreciated.
@ProjectBolony
@ProjectBolony 5 ай бұрын
Just make sure it's not in direct sun and it is getting watered periodically. Just put in some medium that will retain moisture and the staghorn will do the rest. That is if there is enough there to begin with. If not, it doesn't hurt to try.

I bought one of these from Lowes but want to repot into a wire basket like you did in this video. As an indoor plant, where is the best place to keep this plant? I was thinking of hanging it in my bathroom that gets a lot of bright eastern light.

Beware of thermal imagers advertised as "mil-spec" that need an IR illuminator to see well. We used mil-spec infrared imaging systems in the US Army that could see better without IR illuminators than so-called "mil-spec" thermal imagers see with IR illuminators. Those IR illuminators are beacons pointing right back at you for someone using their own thermal imager.

when is the actual season to propagate to cut stag horn please guida
@ProjectBolony
@ProjectBolony 11 ай бұрын
I would say that after the winter would be good. It isn't like a normal cutting as you are not rooting it. The method in this video is cutting the roots out, more of a split or pup, and then supplying debris to the recently cut out plant to help retain moisture and for it to wrap around.

That's a good idea. I water after. It's an air plant, so I'm thinking watering often until it grows enough to keep more moisture between waterings.

I've had nothing but trouble with my new 13" string trimmer. The trimmer won't feed the line correctly except for about 3 min running time. Then it just spins with no line feeding through the holes. I take it apart, and have noticed the line seems pinched, I rewind it per these instructions and have tried others on youtube, reassemble, turn it on... same thing. I wind it loosely, I wind it tightly, same thing.... I have tried the bump feature and it might work- might not- before it spins again with no line feeding through the holes. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've written 2 notes to Dewalt Cust Serv but they have been really slow to respond. Thanks. (I have about 2 weeks before HD return policy expires)

My only concern would be if the illuminator is so bright that it would actually "white out" the face
@ProjectBolony
@ProjectBolony 2 жыл бұрын
The closer it is to an object, the more it will reflect. If you are in between, there are lights out there that are "less bright" for that purpose. The reason these lights work for me is that there is a great distance between the IR flood light and the mass that is reflecting the IR light.
