Might be a silly question but do you need a paid subscription with the owlcam? Thanks.

I understand that they give you 1 year without a subscription, then you will need a subscription in order to get the notifications and videos over the mobile network. You do not need a subscription to retrieve the video clips over wifi or bluetooth. I just found out they may not be in business anymore.
