It’s really interesting but I feel like cleopatra can also be a metaphor on how he fell in love with the wrong person… like the fact that cleopatra is a stripper means that their relationship is transactional but still a relationship like when he says « but your love ain’t free no more » can mean that her time and care for him stop the minute that she get paid and he has to see her go to the pyramid and start the same cycle but with somebody else and he feel betrayed every time that happens which can also explain the « your girl » because he knows that he can’t have her and she will never be his

Quite an interpretation, I never put this much thought into songs but I’m glad that you do! Pyramids is one of those songs that hit you like a freight train the first time you hear it.
