I’ve been around racehorses since I was about 7 years old. Flightline on his best day was the best horse I’ve ever seen. I was at the Breeders Cup in 2022 at Keeneland. He could have won by 15 lengths if they’d let him. He was unbelievably fast and carried that speed the distance. Rare talent we may not see again for a long time.

Imagine if this horse had an Alydar to his Affirmed, or even a Sham to his Secretariate. A competitor that was close enough to his skill level to make him truely go all out.

His last race proved the best against what the land has to offer!.. Even that 6 furlong fraction of 1:07,4 could not kill this horse! The announcer even compared him to Secretariat!

😂😂 I can't believe what im reading in all you're comments, what ppl are saying about Flightline being the best they saw, he was a freak & made horses like California Chrome, Arrogate, Justify etc look mediocre. Look people he had " SIX RACES " only & yeah his performance in the Pacific Classic was breathtaking & for that they rated him the best ever on dirt with a 141 BUT what high class horses did he hammer in the Pacific ? Flightline the same rating as the great Dancing Brave on turf 😂 All you Flightline fans need to come back down to earth & smell the roses.

Flightline was down for almost a year. Half of those races were in 2021. Flightline obviously would have one the triple crown and no one would ever remember Rich Strike. So just look at the numbers and the fact that Flightline reached those top five numbers without ever getting the whip.

To give him a rate of 141 is just Fking ludicrous. Was Flightline on par with the Great European Middle distance Champion " Dancing Brave " ?? Not a chance so rated so high on one race performance is fkd up. Same happened to Harbinger who won the King George by 10 L beating an underpar Derby winner Workforce who couldn't even beat his pacemaker YET Harbinger got a rating of 140 & the King George was his 1st & only G1 win so is right to rate Harbinger so high given his stats were poor at the highest level. Flightline way overrated friend!!

So obviously you are more knowledgeable of this, so how does Flightline’s numbers compare to every triple crown winner? Remember, Flightline was never whipped. Not once. I know there’s no way to measure that fact so just compare the numbers. It doesn’t matter who else was in the race. Just the final numbers. Thanks

There was a few people commenting they had Zenyatta & Arrogate above Flightline but each intitled to opinions. The question remains given Flightline high cruising speed how much would he have found if the whip was used ???

Tiznow’s 2001 win trumps his 2000 win by a mile and a quarter. Arrogate vs California Chrome deserves to be top 5 too. There was never another time two monsters of that caliber faced each other in the Classic when they were at their peak and ruled it out down the stretch. American Pharoah as well because we’re likely never to see another Grand Slam winner in our lifetimes.

It bothers me when so many content creators make it sound like John Henry and before him Seabiscuit, had mediocre or even poor breeding in their bloodlines. Google John Henry’s breeding and you’ll find Mahmoud, Bull Lea, Princequillo, and that really slow horse-Man O’ War. What John Henry and Sea Biscuit really had was conformation issues.
