I see your channel is still quite in the beginning phase (with now about 195 subscribers). I appreciate it that you put effort in trying to help other people. Just some remarks, and when you look back your own video, you may come to the same conclusion. If this is a tutorial for ppl that want to repurpose an old Mac: - Be aware that the settings panel may look quite different (as older Macs do not support newer OS-X versions). There are solutions for upgrading such Macs. You may mention that possibility briefly. - Try to create a real ‘from scratch’ situation, as that is what others will see. So no IP-addresses or network connections that appear magically as they are still there due to a previously made connection. It will also make your video more clean and compact. - That local IP address could also look different from 192.168.x.x. It depends on the router brand or what your internet provider prepared for you. 10.0.x.x. or 172.x.x.x. is an other variant. When the video is aimed at people that never enabled a shared location, such things may look like details, but could be quite important. This all can be confusing for beginners. That being said, Keep up the good work!

Just saw the snapdragon x elite machines for the first time todat Micro Center. Im an insane Apple Mac guy. I really have tried liking windows but i just dont. Only use my windows with linux VMs. I gotta say i was impressed by the snapdragon machines/ARM machines today. seem good so far but none of this matters until at least a year goes by to see some longevity performance. Mac just nailed ARM their first try in almost all facets so its tough to beat. But these new mchines seem solid. I liked the feel and look. Amazing displays. when comparing to Mac remember the core count in each. Just sayingMost pros say these windows ARM machines to get warm and fans can get pretty loud a lot. My M1 Max the fans almost never even come on even running Linux VMs . Excited for these new windows ARM machines though. great video bro

There currently is a list of software that works / doesn’t work on reddit. The thing is that this new processor is not for replacing Apple Macbook laptops but x86_64/AMD64 computers running Windows. Web are wasting time comparing them with Macbooks
@trevorhanson348916 күн бұрын
I think it kinda depends, I can see where you’re are coming from though, there really isn’t much to compare it to as of now in terms of performance, currently I believe it makes sense to compare to MacBooks but for the second gen chips it’s going to makes sense to compare it to the last get.
@nb672317 күн бұрын
This is going to sound petty: a PC cannot replace a workflow, it can only be used to process tasks as part of a workflow. I know what you mean, and it might sound better than the stupid "daily driver" term used these days, but it is wrong nevertheless, and it undermines the credibility of the presentation from the start, not really what you want if you intend to give recommendations. Just my 2 cents... The video was good otherwise. Keep it up!
@trevorhanson348917 күн бұрын
Well the intent of most laptops is, at least in my view is either 1. Be the main device that one uses to complete their work/job or 2. Have a device that you can use on the go that doesn’t disrupt the “flow” that you tend to have at your main setup. My goal was to display either of the scenarios, no I don’t expect it to replace a $3000 PC but as a $2000 device , I do expect it to handle the vast majority of my tasks without having to worry. I’ll try to be more “specific” in that regard because I understand how that can be misleading, thanks for the feedback!

use screen capture, show graphs and charts. Visual representation is the best to show case the differences. (EDIT) Also with the windows devices power plan matters a lot so before showing any performance benchmark mention the power plan. same with the battery test> Mention screen brightness and resolution and refresh rate differences.
@trevorhanson3489Ай бұрын

Show results, don't just talk about it. Show graphics with differences between devices, don't talk about it. Place a camera in exactly opposite direction - to show devices, not you. Far harder to understand numbers when it's only talking head. Thanks for video anyway and good luck!
