I actually think he was aiming for one of the cloaked figures that Sephiroth was projecting himself onto before Barret blocked him. He still TECHNICALLY attacked Barret, though. It’s so goofy looking when they do those distorted close ups of Cloud’s face, hahaha!

This is one improvement that stands out to me. This game is so huge and the world they built is so huge the could actually go back and add new quests and battles as a patch to add exploration and new events. Google MinstrelofMay and Yuffie's untold tale.

When she gave him the white materia, the prism appeared, creating another “timeline.” After this, she pushes home through the portal to make it back to his own “timeline.” Because the white materia in Rebirths world is dead, this Aerith gave it to him so they have a fighting change to stop the Black Materia, Meteor, Jenova, and Sephiroth. This scene hits hard in so many way, even though they “omitted” the lake burial scene, this scene mostly has the same impact, at least to me. We know this Aeriths Fate. 😢

What would have been a killer detail about this whole part of the story is if wore the buster sword on his back the same way like Zack does. Zack did it the other way because his canon statement is; he uses the blunt side.. followed by Angeals quote about wear, tear.. and rust.
