Hojo and Shinra are the real monsters. Period. Manipulating Sephiroth making him think Jenova was his mom when it was actually a woman named Lucrecia who Vincent liked.😢

@@bullet_gaming505 Yes and his human cells still come from Lucrecia and Hojo. They injected him with Jenova cells when he was still growing in Lucrecia's womb with Lucrecia agreeing to all of it because of a mental breakdown that was explained in Dirge of Cerberus .

I agree. Sephiroth may be the representative villain of FF7. But Hojo and Shinra are the true villains by creating him to be a weapon and robbing him of a normal life. I remember years ago when people attacked me just for stating the fact that Sephiroth is a villain and someone name-dropped Hojo as the real evil.

@@michaeldeleon8970That's the tragedy of it. His mother is actually a human being, not a Cetra or an alien. If he found out the truth sooner or later, he might not have gone insane.

@@Rotgobber Jenova was not an infected Cetra. It was just a shapeshifted form. Jenova took on the form of the dead brethren to get closer to them and inject its cells. The body Shinra found was the one "she" used to deceive the Cetra. Sephiroth does not have a single Cetra cell in his body.

@@RotgobberJENOVA was never a Cetra. She was a destructive alien who has the ability to shape shift into anyone or anything. She disguised herself as a Cetra to drive them all to extinction.

Ok, so I'm assuming you've already played Crisis Core but just to be safe I'm going to do a spoiler warning for you or others so don't keep reading unless you want to know more. Spoilers: Following Zack's death, the trauma caused Cloud to internalize that he was Zack for a period of time, which is where this gameplay segment in Rebirth and the original FF7 comes from. Due to the trauma of losing Zack, Cloud believes what happened to Zack in Nibelheim happened to him outside of the death part (and he has some of those memories since he was actually there as a grunt soldier). This segment in the video is Cloud retelling what happened 5 years ago to the rest of the gang not realizing he's recalling Zack's memories and not his own. This is why Tifa treats Cloud like a stranger during this flashback segment because in reality it was Zack she was talking to. Also why she's a bit nervous as Cloud retells the story because as far as she knows at this point in time, Cloud never came back to Nibelheim.
