Bear spray makes a plume of smoke, 30 ft cloud. in your van you have dosed you and them. Have milk ready for your eyes because the cloud will harm you and polute your space to create a choking environment. Yes, stay safe.

Lithium batteries when they get to cold they stop working, if they get to hot they can explode. Please get a monitor for temperature regulations and insulate the rear door.

Hot box full of heat wood, boom. Really. wood stoves get hot and propane fuel explodes when hot, Lucky for you propane is heavier than oxygen so when you are sleeping the fumes if you have a leak won't kill you the wood burning stove will

Does that heater make any water in your hub? Normally having a buddy heater in the ice will pool up water from snow melting

Yes it does unfortunately. Most of the time its not to much of a problem thanks to the carpet.

I use gear snake and just wrap it around some brackets on the back of the TV to the poles of the shelter.

I just installed mine yesterday, it's a NAPA brand and the install was simple and quick. The common 8'x8' awning rooms fit these too so I may get one. Thanks for the video!

Do you recharge your jackery on your van when you are driving?

Yes I would charge it with the car charger if it was low enough where the sun or lack of sun wouldn’t charge it up in a day and if I was driving for and extended amount of time. I just unplug the solar panel and plug in the car charger. I rarely had to do that though as the solar panel kept it charged most of the time.

Adding a 1/8 heavy wire grate over the burner would help completely burn the propane

Those put out allot of heat but use up oxygen and produce allot of CO2, keep a window open a few inches so you don't pass out, the ceramic element propane heaters put out less fumes

It’s a 28” I have a wall Mount bracket on the back of the tv then I use Gear Snake to wrap around the bracket then around the hub poles.

It is a Mr heater 10,000 BTU ventless propane heater. Not much stronger than a little buddy heater. Using it to get by for the rest of the season.

I wouldn’t do it, but I like nice stuff and you definitely made that hub house nice. That’s a good way to get someone comfortable about ice fishing. As I’m writing this I’m picturing a monster hub house with one side setup as a bedroom for my wife. I just need to figure out how to put a shower in it 😂

I used something called gear snake. It’s like giant twister ties that would be on a bag of bread. Comes in a long orange cord that you can cut with a wire cutter. I have a wall Mount on the back of my tv and I run the gear snake through the bracket and around the tent pole. Works great!

Thank you! I have been using the ventless heater to save money since I already had it in one of my conversion vans. It’s 1000 Btus warmer than my little buddy and burns a little cleaner from my understanding. Blue flam means less CO and cleaner burn while yellow flame means more CO. Plan on purchasing a diesel heater for the house in the future to have clean dry air.
