everyone has there own method. In my years in the collision business i found it works best to hold the pad flat, you get a lot more cutting surface. also spend the $15 on the tool to clean up the pad, using a scraping wears the pads out faster.

That long strip is about 1/2 inch thick round foam that is wrapped in convertible top material and sewn the full length. When I purchase tops that strip of fabric comes with the top kit. The foam can be purchase from companies that sell top parts. I purchased my foam part from an upholstery shop and I also had them sew the strip of top material around the foam like a taco. I think I paid about $20 total for that part.

I don't know why but for some reason I am getting so many videos of people that have no clue how to burn a stump. I have been burning tree stumps for years and I have never once ever had a problem and I never needed a blower or a ring or barrel.

I've watched many of these video's. There probably won't be anyone who reads this, but I still have to comment. Most of these that I watched drove me nuts. I guess no one took any science in high school. To have a proper fire you need 3 things, not 2, THREE things. Fuel, Heat and OXYGEN!!! Even while talking about this, I don't think this guy got it. The oxygen he was blowing in was the key. As long as you have all 3 you'll have a fire. Smoke is what is called incomplete combustion and it generally is a result of not enough oxygen. That's the trick with the volcano type. It keeps sucking in it's own air. Yes blowers help tremendously because of the OXYGEN. It doesn't have to be flaming to be burning. Think charcoal. Get it going and leave it alone. You can knock off some ash every once in a while, that does help. And of course not too wet. The dryer the better. Everytime you stir it, it will flame up again because you're knocking the ash off of the the unburned wood and it's getting OXYGEN again. Covering it up with more wood only chokes off the air until they burn away a bit. Then it'll start going again. But half of that is just the new wood you put on it. That's why the blower works so well. I hope some of you weekenders read this. I'm a 30 year firefighter veteran. I know a thing or two about fire.
@riderescue
@riderescue 14 күн бұрын
Thank you.for your comment. I read all comments and I do appreciate them all. Your point of oxygen is well taken. As I added blower air it is adding oxygen as well as blowing off the ash that is chocking off the embers. One extra factor that came into play with this stump was the very cold and damp nights. I also don't like to leave a fire unattended so I don't do long burns unless I have the cold or damp nights. I do get fire permits before I burn so the local fire department knows what iI'm doing if someone calls in a fire. Thank you for being a firefighter for 30 years. We are a fire wise community and we would not have this label if not for the volunteer and professional fire guys that we work with. Thanks again, Be safe.

If you have a pay load capacity of 2100 lbs. And you have a 5th wheel that weighs only 10,000 lbs. You have a pin weight of 2000 lbs by itself. Let alone the hitch, passengers, fuel and all of the other stuff that's added weight to the to payload capacity.really?
@riderescue
@riderescue 18 күн бұрын
Or you can go with the actual facts. Truck has a max payload of 1950 lbs, 5th wheel (on the scale) is 8500 lbs fully loaded with 1400 actual pin load. Leaves 450 lbs for people, fuel and misc. A CAT scale tells the real story.

Thanks for this video sir, after watching I decided to replace my 25 yr old genie intellicode door opener, it was ultra loud and no remotes that i purchased worked with it. Since it was replacing the old unit i didn't have to do everything from scratch which is why i followed your video as opposed to others. It was an easy but long install, you were right about the instructions, extremely good!! You were also right about the wiring connectors, terrible!!! I ended up wrapping each wire back on itself to make it thicker. I also connected the transmitter white wires together and striped wires together so i only had to enter one wire into each terminal on the opener. My old wires were installed right on top of the rail of the opener so i had to tie in extra wire to extend the wire so i could install the wiring on the ceiling. Those things in the packaging that hold the wire in place were useless for me, the wire kept popping up. Luckily i have a staple gun and used that instead to secure the wiring to the wall. I did use electric tape to cover the wires over the terminal so they don't fall out. I did make a trip to home depot, i needed longer steel bars (32in) to attach the opener to the ceiling than what was provided, so i got 2 36in bars that i cut down to 32 in with a reciprocating saw. The transmitters previously installed are the same as those included so i kept those installed, works like a gem. Took me about 6hrs in total, mostly due to wiring, splitting the wired and white wires apart is a pain, i needed to use an exacto knife. Unlike yours, both of My wireless remotes were pre-programmed and the rest of the setup was extremely easy. Now I'll also do the other garage door, it'll likely take me half the time on that one. Thanks for the video

I have two questions. Where are you hook in the clean City water to fill up your clean tank do you worry about that line I know I know you shouldn't be worried about the actual tank itself because you drained the tank but the lines going into that tank. My other question I have a brand new electric gas tankless water heater and it seems to not cycle the water through the hot water tank unless I turn the tap on pretty high and there is electricity and propane turned on. It's almost like it skips the hot water tank. Do you think I should turn on the power and propane? I know this stuff smells like vodka is there any chance it's flammable? I just want to be sure I can get all of the water out of that tank.
@riderescue
@riderescue 23 күн бұрын
I have thought about the lines to the fresh water tank as well but I have never had problems so the water must drain well into the tank. I have heard of some people putting a little antifreeze into their fresh tank just to make sure and then draining the tank. I don't turn my hot water heater on when I push anti freeze though it. The pump does a great job getting antifreeze through the piping and faucets.

Hello Ride Rescue, I had the same dilemma trying to decide if my Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7 Hemi with 4 side air suspension will tow Grand Design Reflection 100 Series Half Ton Towable model 22RK. The specs on my truck is Transmission A8 8HP70; Axle Ratio 3.92; GVWR 6900; Payload 1690; Base weight numbers are Total: 5211.88; which comprise of 2979.3 for the front and 2232.52 for the rear. GAWR for front 3,700 and back 3,900. GCWR is 15,950 with a max trailer weight of 10,300. Oh, one other thing my truck has a BDS 4" lift system with 35 tires. Not sure if this will affect my choice in a 5th Wheel or not. I have towed a 6x12 Uhaul trailer with weighing in at 8,300 pounds at the weighing station. The hitch I was planning to use is an Anderson Hitch to fit over a B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit . I was advised by the RV dealership that many of their customer went this route as it's cost efficient and easy to use, oh I have electronic trailer break control toll-haul. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I wanted the under-bed gooseneck mount but as a DIY guy I found that the bed would need to be removed to do the job. The cost is also much higher for the under-bed set up. Ive been burning out stumps for over 20 years on my hobby farm in the Missouri Ozarks. I have done pretty much the same thing you did except for a few things. First, i bore holes at 4-6 points on the radius of the stump with a long bit extender for a forstner or auger bit at least 3/4 - 1” diameter. I also start about 6-9” above ground level with these holes and aim at a common point well below ground level and aimed toward a common center point. I fill the holes up with used motor or hydraulic oil and give it several hours to soak in. Then its easy and safe to torch it off. Ill come back 8-12 hours later with a good strong leaf blower and blow off the burned charred wood and heat things up. Ill return and do the leaf blower number the next morning and by the end of day 2 there’s nothing but a hole in the ground. Sometimes if the stump is very large (over 3’) it might take a third day of burning but most stumps 2’ or smaller are history after one day. That chimney effect works very well. Thanks for your good video.

Another video showed the screws that hold the pump to the bottom of the tub were loose; take out the bottom rack, the filter and the cover plate, then tighten the screws; this can be done without pulling the dishwasher out; the sensor will have to be dried out before the code will clear though, and that requires pulling the unit out and turning it on it's side; so for you product engineers out there you can use this as a guide: instead of making something that doesn't leak, just add a leak sensor that shuts the product down! I've never seen a dishwasher that needed a catch pan & leak sensor, the designers must have known that it was going to leak and this was their solution, Amazing!!!
