Hey Jason, Thank you so much for the video. I Just have a quick question regarding your consulting project with the media company. How would you introduce yourself as a management consultant to that media company and get that project after quitting your consulting job..?

I do let them know I recently quit to build my own startup. Since it is only a short term gig, it works well for both sides :)

yo man, just wanted to say thank you for making this video, it's super relatable to where i'm at. I started a property consulting / deal sourcing business and it's super difficult doing it on your own. I quit my job and took a leap of faith and one thing i've learned is the power of people. enjoy the ride cause the work drains you and hanging out with friends and exploring life for what it is is so damn helpful

Hey Jason, loving your videos. The points you made from 12:55 really hit me. I've had some bad experiences with friends/people from past, which has left me with trust issues. How did you find communities/friends who are dependable and genuine, people who you can collaborate and share experiences with?

Would love to be a tester in this. I've had an idea like this for while now and would love to be part of the development. Also love what your doing with this youtube channel.

You need to overthink the brick / water bucket analogy 😂 you don't want people to be dead after using your product :D love the videos keep up the great work. Finding distribution first is a great approach. Think about which industries / fields do you have easy access into (e.g. due to friends or work experience as a consultant) and find problems to solve there. Then first customers should be easy to find due to connections. B2B products could be an easier way to build a great startup.
@Jason_lai2 ай бұрын
hahahah yea 100%. My next project (the one I talked about) is actually consulting related, so I guess great mind think alike haha
@juliankempf11942 ай бұрын
@@Jason_lai This one will work out I am sure. You have the connections to get enough early testers and validation and ideas to iterate your product based on. If you focus on the feedback you will build a great product. Looking forward to the next videos.

I have been in the same boat lately, feeling burnt out and looking to do something else. When I watch these videos you make, I also see myself. Keep it up, I am also in the process of wanting to start my own business, I think one of the biggest pieces of advice is to not let yourself get overwhelmed, and don't feel nervous that don't know all the answers. Just keep networking, it's really important to be able to meet peers who might be at the same stage as you or people who might have opportunities that may spark your interest further.
