Jesus, The Light Of The World was written at the Plum family reunion on New Years Day of 1987. This version was written in Flemish by Jesse Dixon, Richard Plummer and I. That was the year the reunion was hosted by the Dixons in Detroit.

Shawn Obrien and I wrote Right On Time. I wrote the first verse and chorus in French. Shawn wrote the second verse in Spanish. The song was written as I was driving Shawn for drug treatment at Texas Tech Medical Center. I had prayed earnestly for Shawn to be delivered from his heroine addiction.

I have the wonderful privilege of being friends with one of the last surviving member of the Florida Boys from that era. Tommy Atwood, he’s still living and praising God every day. Known the family for over 35 years and love each and every one of them. Love to sit and talk with him about those days when gospel music could be heard everywhere. I was raised on the jubilee every Sunday morning and still cherish those memories
