More technique than Segovia but less soul.Segovia doesn’t play guitar .He lets his instrument talk to your heart ! With all my respect to The very big Yepes .

If you want a neat and beautiful performance of Malats' Serenata check the You Tube video with Julian Bream performing at the Alhambra. But if you want a different experience, perhaps unsettling, as you will find in it melancholy and solitude but also intensity and sheer uncertainty, then check Miguel Angel Lejarza version. As major art it is not easy listening.

IT DOESN'T WORK. MUCH TOO POLISHED. TO SOUND LIKE KWELA IT NEEDS TO COME FROM THE HEART AND BE AS ROUGH AS A FEELING. THIS MUSIC COMES FROM THE HEAD WHEN THE HEART IS DEAD. ITS SHIT.

It is unbelievable how such soulful, utterly Spanish, and perfect performance can have less than 200,000 views while John Williams's dull, mechanistic one on a guitar that sounds like a banjo has 15 million. Sad how gullible most people are.

Let me take a wild guess: you're not an actual musician? Because I've never met one so disparaging of such an accomplished performer as Williams and so ready to insult listeners based on that sort of preference. Actually, not that it matters, the guitar teachers I had didn't like Yepes. Either way, sounding like an asshole doesn't make you look like an expert.

No lo hizo como Segovia y aunque no sea tan buena como esa hizo bien en hacerlo de otra forma. Porque la de Segovia ya está.
@rufinosanchez27034 жыл бұрын
Soytu19: Desde luego que no lo hizo como Segovia, pues Yepes se ajusta más a la original escrita para piano. Debo decir, y también lo he dicho en otros vídeos, que la versión de Segovia no me gusta, pero para nada. Muchas gracias.
