They had genuinely not realised that there was a problem with their actions nor consequences, so I can't really fault them for that time. For the cow later? Yep. 100%. I get he was hungry but Jesus Christ bro, you've seen this moment before with the CYCLOPS and this empty island WITH ONLY A GODS STATUE is HELLA suspicious... Yeah, don't know if I'll get past that one XD Oh, he did open the wind bag as well though huh? That one's kinda shaky. Like, your captain and best friend tells you not to open the bag gifted to him by a God and you think "just a peek"? Just like Odysseus, he had moments of no common sense, but I don't think I'd blame him for everything..

Ya like there are some where are boy Ody was quite literally led to bed with her most of the nights and cried every time as well... he was used. And then there are others that he learned to love her and distracted himself by her company. Way more than just this with others as well, but an interesting take to see in this series.

It sucks whichever way we look at it. He's clearly suffering if him being by the edge of a cliff every day is anything to go by, and it honestly makes me want to try and comfort him somehow :') My only hope is that it gets better for him in the Ithica saga but I doubt it

@@galacticsaz that's a fair assumption, especially after their encounter with Poseidon, but Eurylochus puts it best himself; "I'm just a man." he likely understands it's not a good idea, but he's starving, the crew's starving. even if they left now, would they even make it home? in his mind, it's either he dies for sure due to starvation, or he takes a chance here and kills a cow to keep them alive just a little bit longer. "Ody you know we're never gonna get to make it home," is Eurylochus acknowledging this, that they won't get back if they don't eat now. "People die like this". it's all a bad idea, but he just can't bring himself to care at this point. he's starving, his captain has betrayed him and the crew, and there's food RIGHT there in front of them.

Hm, I suppose so... I still don't think it's smart but I've also never been that hungry, so maybe I'd also be that dumb if I was that hungry XD

@@galacticsaz I'd like to add (and sorry if someone else mentioned this already, if they did I can't find it) in The Odyssey, Eurylohus (before going for Helios' cows) gives a speech that basically translates to "Starving is the worst death we can have now. We'll sacrifice it in Helios' honour and hope he accepts it. If he does, we'll build a temple for him when we get home and worship him there (essentially making him the new patron god of Ithica, instead of the current one which just so happens to be Athena). If he takes offense, at least we die a quick death. Still beats the alternative."
