The song compositions demanded his full type of drumming ,full rolls ,every cymbal, anything less, would not have been a great show, I saw 2,in Asheville

Thanks to this channel I recently started keeping a journal of my drumming with time practiced, things to work on, future goals, etc. It's helping me already. I'm currently learning a song and I'm close to getting it 100%. My birthday is in 1 month and I have a goal of learning the tricky parts I can't play. Either way I'm recording myself and sharing it with my friends. Wish me luck 😊

I'm still a beginner but I consider myself a drummer. Hell, I'm playing the drums. That's what drummers do. Am I a good drummer? Someday, I'll say yes!

I saw Ronnie twice with Elvis back in 1976-77 and then later with Neil Diamond. A fantastic drummer and great memories

Ronnie Tutt is one of my influences in my drumming career. From ages 12 to 17, I must've played thru the Madison Square Garden concert, Aloha, Elvis on Tour, and Las Vegas shows hundreds of times. Some of the tastiest drumming I've ever heard! Ronnie is a legend and I truly appreciate this interview.

On merry Christmas baby he says something like to get going. He wants him to start really pulling out all the stops on the drums. So there you are. Now you know.

He was the engine to Elvis vehicle. RT said years ago that he'd look at Elvis' behind and take cues from it. When Ronnie's playing really got going so too did Elvis' behind...lol!!!

Ronnie also said one time that playing for Elvis was like paying for a stripper, you had to watch every move!

When can you call yourself a drummer when you can feed yourself and your significant other with the money you earn from playing your drums in your style❤ JW Miller Denton Texas

I know many drummers that can't feed their family off of their playing, or don't want to. This is not the definition of a Drummer. Do you play the drums? You're a drummer.

I made a living from 1962 through 1970 and I was guaranteed $100 to do a four-set show! Jwm.

Brilliant drummer. His live performances with Elvis are phenomenal. Ronnie really displayed his versatility and knowledge of music with how he found exactly the right beats and style for the many different types of genres that Elvis' band would play on stage. And he had some great solos to boot.

Thanks Stephen , I can remember playing on my mothers pot and pans in the kitchen when I was very young . I am 63 now gave it away for about twenty years but found I really missed it . Been playing in a band now for two years and loving it . All the best to you and your family for Christmas and have a safe and happy new year . Cheers Pete .

I knew I was a drummer, when I began playing drums @ 17 yrs old professionally. My first gig, was from 5:00 pm 1:30 am, five nights a week & 7 pm to 12 am on Sunday nights. It was a sink or swim situation, I didn't sink.

**tries to play note for note** This mindset has messed me up so much. I've been trying to learn the drums for 10 years now and I have only put about a years worth of effort into it. I would get so frustrated because I couldn't play the songs as recorded and my memory wouldn't let me remember when to play what I thought I was supposed to. I spent way too much time beating myself up because of those two issues and quitting for sometimes years at a time. I will be getting this course and signing back up to SDS and going after it with this mindset. Thank you Stephen!
