I think it would still be worth it to brush out two or three of those dreads to space them how you want with that awkward middle piece

So dramatic. It is not a disaster. You just needed actual toner. But I liked the way they turned out

I like your videos i used to have a set of deadlocks that i started with the twist and rip method then probably about a year into it i got them maintained and touched up. I really liked them but that was about 5 years ago now im starting freeform dreads with no maintenance just residue free shampoo. Ive been on the hunt for the perfect dreadlocks shampoo for my freeform/ neglect dreadlocks that are alreadys starting to form surprisingly! Ive been having itchy scalp tho and i really want to try out dolly locks products. Jist have to say that the owner of dollylocks she says the conditioning oil is for the scalp and the dreadlocks so im super excited to try it out.

After watching an insane amount of bleach tutorials over the years it sounds like the bleach just finally did your hair in. As hard as it is I’d step away from the bleach altogether

i got dreadlocks for the first time about 3months ago and i love them. only regret is that i didnt went for the 16inch extensions instead of the 12inch. but i fixed it by adding length with loose hair so its fine :) for your middle dread-is it an option to split it into 2 thinner one dreading one down to each side? that way you dont have to brush all of them out :)

I like that you jump right in to the maintenance. Thanks. Excellent vid. I personally find it better for my dreads to make sure I'm not tearing my hair when I use a hook.

Should hair be wet or dry when doing this?
@dreadalinaa9 ай бұрын
Dry. ALWAYS DRY. When hair is wet it is at its more fragile state 😬🙏🏻👌👍🙂

I absolutely LOVE that idea with the charm! I have my first ever set of dread extensions in to see how I like them before getting the real deal. I am happy to say I will be getting real ones as soon as these are ready to come out! I am going to find a special charm or bead and sew it in the first one as well to document the journey and new growth! Thank you for sharing!

I know this vid is 9 months old, but I have dreads and the sides of my head are shaved, just from my temple to behind my ear, to the bottom of my ear. I did this look intentionally, and I personally like it for various reasons - I think it's pretty aesthetically, I hated that the dreads around my ears never laid down right, and I also live in a desert and this helped with the heat. So, I like it. May not be your style. Hope you figured it out in the last 9 months.

please give your hair a break. Care for your dreadlocks with moisture and leave in conditioner. please stop bleaching your hair. I'm so sorry for you, that really hurt me. I have dreads myself and care for them as described above. I can comb it up and re-dread it, the hair is fine if you just leave it alone :(

Thank you for the good review! It was helpful and motivated me to go ahead and try some of their product! I have been thinking about it but wasn’t sure if it would be worth it. My dreads are only a month old and I’m doing them myself. Also-you look so beautiful without makeup, that was nice to see as well as your pretty and fun makeup look ;) ❤✌️

Thanks love for all the tips , heads up. Im 44 and I've been wanting dreadlocks for afew yrs now. I want them so bad but just don't know where how to begin. I know if I go to have them professionally done I'm going to be paying afew 100 dollars. I really wish I could just do them myself or knew someone who could start partial dreads. I just have so many questions, concerns but ugh I so want them now I'm not getting any younger .

As I watch this video it is four years since it was posted. But I just have to say thank you as this was very informative! I'm very new to this journey and have never heard from any other channel most of the rings you discussed here. Really appreciated this!

I realize I'm seeing this more than four years later, but you can learn from anything regardless of the timeline. I just got my dreads done and for now it's just my hair. I want them to mature a bit before adding extensions. I appreciate your insights. Btw, great lip color choice!

You look fantastic 🎉 great video too! I have synthetic extensions and I heard they have chemicals on them that affects the dying process… might give it a go. I can always see a professional if it’s a disaster 🎉 Great channel btw. New subscriber from UK 😊

So sorry that happened to you 😢I think you should just go ahead and shave it,it would look like a hairstyle more,the length it's at seems a bit awkward. But you're beautiful none-the-less😊

Do you do a lot of crochet maintenance on your locs? The way they aren’t dreading is very strange, unless maybe your hair is so bleached that it’s stretching/snapping within the loc. I’ve had bleached locs before and didn’t experience that.. mine were ash blonde though, so maybe it’s to do with having platinum.
@Zev4U Жыл бұрын
It also is not enjoyable when bleaching & you want to leave only a few accent dreads your natural color…& you accidentally touch a tad with the bleach. Sad face.

Could you make a video of some hair styles please? I’ve done my own hair into dreads 3 times with synthetic extensions but they get scruffy so I’ve finally decided to get some human hair dreads made then that’s that for the rest of my natural!!! Using the elastic bands is a genius 💚 tip for for maintenance as you say you had mirrors to see the back & it gets tiresome but worth it. Love your dreads & your a very beautiful lady btw. 💚 Xxx
