The easiest way to find it is take the trail from the end of the road and when you come out into the open follow the river and you will run right into it.

"That will make your tummy go roundy-round" 10/10, if I am ever in Idaho, I'll buy that wholesome grade-A farmer man a drink. Absolute national treasure.

They should plant trees on the hills around the lake and use the excess water to irrigate it.

I think it was 3.3 miles round trip to the top of the saddle with an elevation gain around 1,000. The cool thing is you don't have to go all the way to the top or you could keep going and work your way up to the highest point.

Seems you were on line - just dropped your edge way too much and flipped. Had you come into it more upright and boofed , you might have pulled away clean.

Do crazy professionals do this at higher water or only at these flows as well? I know typically it's only done after Deadwood shuts off in September.
@SteveDent32

Professional kayakers will do this at higher flows, but most of us aren't that good. There are videos of the Voorhees brothers, Dane Jackson and Sage Donnelly doing it.
