I was in this play and my part was none other then that of Godot . It was an Oscar worthy performance and I got a standing O.

A remarkable contribution, Black excellence, The fitting in of the western culture and black culture, what a way of exploration. We relate in so many ways, and our thinking capacity was escalated to higher department of our brains... This works, it blended so beautifully

@draerolle
@draerolle Жыл бұрын
@@allindbz I mean, not entirely wrong. thing is.. it’s theatre. not real. Also if you left it up to that logic, everything is already white-washed, most “iconic” characters of a certain time were of course gonna be white, white writers, racism, etc. black not being looked at as marketable. Black writers not being given the same opportunities and space. Should be able to be played by anyone really, what makes them inherently white? It’s nothing in the play that even talks about race. Like a white person playing Walter in a Raisin in the Sun would be weird cause the play is about race.. if it’s like a play about the holocaust yeah black person wouldn’t be playing a Nazi or a Jew cause it’s about race.
