Shamel Pitts & Tushrik Fredricks | Highlight | THINKING IN RED | THE OPEN MOMENT | SO ACADEMY

From 4 to 8 March, The Centre hosted Shamel Pitts, founding artistic director of the Brooklyn-based Afrofuturistic arts collective TRIBE, and South African-born, New York-based collaborative artist, Tushrik Fredricks.
During his time in South Africa, Pitts, assisted by Fredericks, began the process of developing a new solo work, engaging in a series of exploratory rehearsals.
Pitts then presented a HOW | Showing the Making, providing a window into the creation process of his new solo performance, demonstrating the early stages of how a work is made.
