Hi Your trucking videos are awesome! I’ve been working on software for owner-operators and carriers to manage expenses and financial flows. It could be very useful for your audience. Let’s discuss a potential partnership! Thanks and keep up the great work!

Compression engine brake on flat ground, everytime you shift down to use engine brake wastes fuel. Coast to the final speed ,then skip down to the final speed. Down shift should only be used to climb a hill as gravity pulls you back. Engine brake is only meant to assist going down hill , grade and in one gear . Not to let everyone know Jack as has arrived at the stop sign at the truck stop. Down shifting through multiple gears and flip on the engine brake wastes fuel. Oh, I am saving brakes, so I will uses the engine ,drive train, and transmission to slow truck. All 3 are more expensive than brakes, change you thinking, coast light braking. On flat ground ,you can see the town coming up, and the biggest abusers are semi truck the go through the same towns, it is no surprise. Unless you want to here the noises and let everyone in the industry , know that you don't have retirement, health care and you trying to make up for some short comes in you life, by all means ,be hard headed and rediculius. Why you think signs pop-up like mushrooms in towns ,on flat ground, No Engine Brakes. I always think when I hear the straight pipe engine brake, that driver is trying to forget his kids don't have shoes, so it raddals his brain with is toy and Dolly's to play with. Oh, straight pipe get better fuel mileage, not when when you make unnecessary down shifts. I average 7 mpg. For thoughts that don't care, you just like the noise. Do like listening to other people music from their car and your not riding with them. You like the noise, record to straight pipe engine brake ,just like your favorite music on a CD and play it on CD player in you cab. I have to talk to you this way, because your stupid, and you won't tolerate any one that just simple ask you to not do it , so here's you no engine brake sign in my town,to force you to do the right thing and have consideration for other people. I think about how I think, someone that doesn't do that ,I wonder how they got pooty trained? Many drive smell like they haven't. Or they don't like learning something new, well I guess you still use a payphone, and you upset because they don't sell buggy wipes for horses in you local hardware store. Or here's the other one ,I have been doing this for x number of years, how long you have been doing something ,is no indication of what you know. Usually when I hear a statement about how long you have been doing something, means ,hear is someone that has stoped learning. How that going to work in a world that is always , with sertanty, will change ,dispit , you and your protests. Or when I hear , how long you have be doing something, then we will have to all set there and talerate you stupidly. Or, Don't make any silly susgestion that might help me. I would rather blow up the enter world and kill everyone in it, than have some else make some silly susgestion that might he me. Natural consequences is a hard lesson. Just saying. I have data to prove what I am saying, but no worries , self driving trucks in 25 year will not have these hangups.

I read every word, and as a truck driver, I agree. These bone head drivers act like they have no sense in their dang head. It’s unbelievable how you can’t talk to one of them to even help them in the long run. They know and saw it all but yet make stupid choices that put all truckers in a category of stupidity.

#2 nothing could be anymore true. We're only paid above the national average simply because we slave our asses off working 11 to 14 hours a day, seven days a week. In fact, statistics show driver wages aren't even keeping up with inflation

There are always clues this is going to happen. Be proactive, listen, and watch for warning signs like xx people no longer work here. Dispatch changes, look at parking lot of main location. Talk to shop about delayed repairs. Shop usually knows something is up so listen and ask how is company doing? Has there been a change in upper management? Watch web site. Meaning no posting no action all is quiet. Look for clues. First clue your paycheck had been delayed a day or a new payroll installed etc.

I have one 240 WB if this truck was factory spec it will carry 12400 on the steers consistently with the 5th wheel plate all the way back. Factory only puts a G load rate and will cause issues. Although a 13200 lb axel your over on load rating for the tire. My smart nav sucks wouldn’t recommend it.

2 questions actually!: A. I have an active DL in California, but I have a traffic ticket in collections from almost 3 years ago. I also have 2 other traffic tickets that got issued weeks ago, and I am fighting to get them dismissed. If they are not dismissed, what are my chances of getting a CDL? P.S. I plan on applying for CDL after the first ticket in collections has passed the 3 years ago mark. B. I wear glasses. I was also diagnosed with Bipolar disorder years ago. Do either of these disqualify me? THANK YOU

It’s actually nice to hear something positive for once. When I was in the Military I got praised all the time. Thank you from all kinds of people, people shaking my hand, etc... I have drove a semi off and on for almost 10 years and have never had one thank you. Here’s the funny part. In 2-3 weeks of trucking I did more for my Country than four years in the Military. I never went to War, or did anything really. A 9-5 job was really all it was. It’s amazing how people get all the glory and praise while others are forgot about. AMERICA is not like it used to be, it’s sad!!!

Yes they are great tips. If you come up on a Low bridge and it says 13' 6" especially in the northeast that is from bridge Beam lower to pavement. Come to a stop and crawl underneath it if you have an air ride trailer And you hit a bump because of road construction you can bounce as high as 3" now that makes you 13' 9" and you will strike the bridge if you are unsure stop then crawl underneath it.
