It’s actually nice to hear something positive for once. When I was in the Military I got praised all the time. Thank you from all kinds of people, people shaking my hand, etc... I have drove a semi off and on for almost 10 years and have never had one thank you. Here’s the funny part. In 2-3 weeks of trucking I did more for my Country than four years in the Military. I never went to War, or did anything really. A 9-5 job was really all it was. It’s amazing how people get all the glory and praise while others are forgot about. AMERICA is not like it used to be, it’s sad!!!

If companies really want to thank truck drivers they can start by getting rid of household movers guide mileage pay and move to practical mileage pay. I consistently lose between 60 and $100 every week due to household movers guide miles. It is a rip off. Stop ripping off drivers!!!
