This and Bleach were on heavy rotation as a early 20 something living in Seattle before the whole scene broke. The two albums remain my favorite go to "grunge" albums. Outside of that I would go more Mudhoney and Melvins before say Pearl Jam and AIC.

Joey is obviously drunk (he entered rehab two months after this performance) but the band still delivers, I was there and despite that it was and still is a great show. Killer setlist btw, all hits

Fished cycling through my favorite AIC songs, gotta follow that up with Soundgarden. Chris Cornell is the only one who comes close to Layne in range, control, and unique harmonies & melodies. Two of the sickest bands that will ever exist, no debate. I'm so thankful for the jams!

Comes close? Chris had a 4 octave range, his singing ability absolutely blew Layne out of the water! I liked AIC too but I don't even think Layne was the best singer in that band. Jerry was the musical talent and driving force. He wrote the music and just about all the lyrics too; there would have been no Alice in Chains without Jerry Cantrell.
