I loved all those glorious Australian accents , with all those Scots , English and Irish Irish accents the odd Welsh accent thrown in. Not to mention all that wonderful Queensland scenery. And history records so many American privateers operating in the late nineteenth century in and around those waters, And swimmers that could out swim ships , Olympians look out.😂

Wow Hepburn really hammed it up in this one! The acting is teetering on the edge of silent movies dramatics. Yet strangely she exudes compelling charisma, despite the stagey performance.

Childhood favorite ❤️❤️ I still have a VHS copy from the church rummage sale. I couldn't bring myself to part with it. I always adored Shirley & this was her best film in my opinion. I love Shirley Temples 🍒 & she was the assigned ambassador to Czechoslovakia, my maternal family country. Maybe her curls, dimples & cute dancing/darling demeanor & voice, but i don't believe there are any child star icons more legendary in American tradition than Shirley Temple. I just love her friend Becky too, and the Sheik. The dance skits are so sweet 💕 They don't make em like this anymore!!!! No magical touch like these gems. 🌸🪽💝🌹

The lovely combination of a very boyish face with a very deep resonant manly voice: the young Mr. de Marney, although he was aged 30 when this film was made, he was meant to be playing a lad of around 20. His actor brother, Terence de Marney, also had a marvellous voice.

colorizing old films became very popular in the 1990s when the software was shown to be effective....

What an exceptional documentary ❣ Beautiful ~ it reminds me of a niece, always thoughtful, wanting the best and fair outcome, thinking of others. We all ride and relate to her free spirit horseback. A very fitting movie for current times, when the fate of our democracy seems in very unstable hands, with "liberty and justice for ALL" at stake. We must keep her spirit alive! ❤

I see color, not completely black and white footage, Just old technology. When television was first created, it was black and white film. Whoever posted this video didn’t have the proper technology to download it properly, why detail isn’t sharp. Black and white shows more details in everything than color does, if you ever study color theory or film. Art and video was my background.
