Tattered web? Tattered web? Its a tangled web. Tattered web doesnt make sense any more than that song "Dont Go Chasin' Waterfalls"

Well, you could have a tangled web, but you could also have a tattered web. Like tattered cloth, a spider's web that's old eventually starts breaking apart, becoming ... tattered. Like (no spoiler; it's in the description) here, the dirty detective's cover up sounds like it unravels. Haven't watched yet, but looking forward to it!

They are totally different things. A yarn tangles as a common sample a sock or a fishing net tatters. I hope this will help to understand the difference.
