@@deputyVH There's genuinely so many electric skateboard models names, honestly it gets confusing after a while! (Even the reviewers are starting to trip over themselves) Check out my Facebook page 'Esk8 News' for recent stories and adjacent news, been doing that for a few years now as a constructive hobby, plus to silence the people that say ''Nothing is new in Esk8, it's all the same.'' People are not paying attention enough, plus social media algorithms can be unreliable at best! Sometimes it's a slow news week, although it's cool following progress on new things like electric inline skates and escooter legalisation.

Update* The noise was from my loose ESC, it snapped from the bolt mounting brackets... About that bulkier #Verreal F1-Max 10ah battery enclosure, unfortunately the ESC metal brackets/bolt holes keep snapping off, so now I'm thinking about alternative ESC mounting solutions... One idea is to Dremel off the threaded bolt tubes, then glue down two wooden blocks using 'sticks like' and hold the ESC in place with ribbon/foam with washers and screws. (Think the shape of a hashtag)

@esk8jaimes 6 ай бұрын
Having kingpin trucks helped with steering, albeit only on the front. Unfortunately the stock fixed wheel brackets cause wheelbite with larger wheels, so I'm undecided whether to cut them off or just use smaller wheels. I'm used to 70mm skateboard wheels, so smaller ones aren't ideal on bumps... stock ones are 54mm but having kingpin trucks means I can fit 58-65mm ones. Wish these motors were stronger for larger hills and had a wheel lock function, plus front toe stopper too. The rear toe stopper is way too high off the ground, needs ground biting clearance closer to inline skates... Also, the extended front wheelbase from this mod made it impossible to fall forwards due to leverage, feels a bit like ski's. I'm thinking velcro straps might feel more stable too, compared with stretchy silicone ones.
@airtrickofficial
@airtrickofficial 6 ай бұрын
@@esk8jaimes The original design was portable, so it was limited to small wheels, perhaps sacrificing some of the passability. Your model's wheelbase is longer, and it stands to reason that the ankle supports should be moved forward as well to keep the center of gravity right under the footboards, which would be more like skis. Not sure what that feels like, haha. The newest velcro straps are available on our website and have been improved after listening to a lot of user feedback.

Yeeplay long electric skateboard. Older... the sleeve /tire came off. How do i get the rest off? Its very hard...
@esk8jaimes
@esk8jaimes 11 ай бұрын
Usually, it's just a case of removing the retaining hub cap bolts. However, older electric skateboard hub motors were single-use designs and their wheel sleeves couldn't be easily swapped off... for instance, with older Meepo hub motors people had to physically saw off and peel the wheel PU material, just so they could fit larger 120mm Cloudwheel Donuts. (The only option that fits older hub motors) As for taking apart the hub motor to clean it with fine sandpaper and WD40 Contact Cleaner (specifically used for electronics and hub motors) there's usually extra retaining bolts around the hub motor, strong magnets hold it together so pull it hard to separate the hub motor shell from its inner magnets!
@esk8jaimes
@esk8jaimes 11 ай бұрын
If you have the same hub motors as these in my video, then the best advice is to use metal penetrant oil spray, hopefully that will make it easier to push off the motor. Those inner metal wheel sleeve splines can be very difficult; I tried building a wooden jig to hold my hub motor in place and had to push it out of the wheel sleeve using a soft hammer...

@@masaakisakai6546 well when it comes to getting replacement motors for an older model, your main concern should be the motor connections; the older ones usually have three bullet connectors per motor. Hi mate, my 120mm wheels arrived but I don't think the donuts are right ☹️ they have six kind of slots around the black inner plastic sleeve. Is that wrong? They are the 120H Donut.

Correct, they've sent you TeamGee H20/older Lycaon GR ones. (saw your post on facebook) Email them back, they'll send replacement correct ones. Did it to me too; sent Cloudwheel Donuts for the older Verreal F1 motors.

Do I need to have the new hub motors on my F1 for these to fit, or are there other options for the older hub motor?

@@Baldoora there's two options for the Verreal F1 on the 120mm Cloudwheel Donuts website listing. - www.icloudwheel.com/collections/donut/products/cloudwheel-donut-120mm-hub-motor-sleeve-urban-all-terrain-off-road-electric-skateboard-wheels

@@Baldoora Alternatively, you can try these slip-over 110mm 70a wheel sleeves from Marlon Loves Wheels? They slip over existing stock street wheels. - www.etsy.com/uk/shop/MarlonLovesWheels

Have you tried the cloud wheels? Been thinking of getting them

Absolutely! They've been on my two electric skateboards for months. (Verreal F1, Lycaon GR) Unfortunately, with older hubs motors you can only fit the larger 120mm Cloudwheel Donuts; leads to reduced braking distances/less hill climbing torque/battery range loss as your motors are working harder. Significantly softer on road vibration and tactile flagstones though, but main downside is they're very slippery in wet riding conditions, and not at all for off-road

ey, Im an Aspie too lol and I relate to you alot here. We both have a similar body language and were both soft spoken as it seems. Eboarding is something Im totally obsessed with and I had no idea what stimming was till I watched your video. Yeah Eboarding really relaxes me and makes my brain focus real well, I can even say its therapeutic so when it rains and I cant go outside. I obviously get depressed or angry. I could also talk about how much I love eboard but also tech gadget related stuff in general or my other favorite hobby, Silver bullion/coins.
