Does anyone know how I would go about making an eyelid using primitives? I've been trying to make one but some reason the image of the eyelids wraps round the sphere too much.

A great and full video. Thank you very much. But I have a question. Also available in Tool Property: Object workspace at 1:52. The Tool Property: Object in Workspace did not disappear when you called it with Quick Access. I just couldn't do it. I would be very happy if you inform me. (I was able to add it with Quick Access + Pop-Up Palattes, but its location always appears where the mouse is. At first fixed results are now constantly shifting. (Advances in lock technology have no benefit.)
@EdDesignTips Жыл бұрын
Hello, I am not sure to fully understand the question but when you first add a pop-up palette it will be presented in a specific place and size in your screen. Then you can adjust the size and move it wherever you want the palette to pop-up. Clip Studio should remember both the size and place the next time. If you have regular palettes visible these are going to be gray out every time you use a pop-up palette with the same name. Hope it helps!

Hello, I'm really new to clip studio paint, however i am use to photoshop. So im just pretty much trying to learn the nuances of CSP and the things that it CAN do that photoshop cant. Do you know what the difference is between "Edit > Register Material> Image" and "Edit > Register Material> Template" ? I saved my character (which consists of a custom head and a custom body) as both types, and I can not tell the difference. I'm wondering if there's an underlying reason as to how they work/relate/are used for other things. Is there an "easy" way to make characters? This way is not 'hard' I just dont know if im going about it the right/easy/correct way. I made a body shape that would fit my character shrinking the bodys head super small, Then I made a head, putting it over/in place of the super small body head. Then I wanted to save the body+head as one object somehow, so i can use it in the future for poses or other things. So i can just drag and drop it out, then manipulate it.
@EdDesignTips Жыл бұрын
Hello, let me answer the first question. Templates are usually for when you create a new document but you can also use them as multilayer materials. For example if you need 1 layer for sketching, 1 for lineart and 1 for color, you can save them as a template. You can also see templates with different layouts for comics when you click on "Template" when creating a new document. If you save 3D as a Regular "Image" Material you can only save 1 layer (although 3d layers can have multiple objects in 1 layer). About the second question not sure if there is an easy way (maybe pay for one). But since you are using two 3d objects "body+head" you will need to move the head if you change the pose of the body to adapt it to the new pose. Hope it helps!

Glad it helps! About the cylinder you can see the UV map at 7:16 where both circles are hide. For the one that appears at 8:00 what is hidden is half of the UV map from the center to the right and there is also a border around the half of the circles. Hope it helps!

@EdDesignTips Жыл бұрын
Hello, I am not sure if that was a question... Anyway, you can register your 3D object as Material as it shows in the minute 3:25 of the video. If you have multiple objects- primitives in the same layer then instead of the Object tool, select the 3D layer with the Move layer tool and go to Edit > Register Material> Image. Hope it helps! *Please try to elaborate and give technical details if you need some help in KZbin or other platforms.

@EdDesignTips Жыл бұрын
If you like to draw or design backgrounds you should schedule some time to do it and keep enjoying the process. But if you need to create quick backgrounds, you can always use photos or pre designed 3D models. You can also use 3D primitives in Clip Studio Paint. Hope it helps.

@EdDesignTips2 жыл бұрын
Hello, I appreciate the interest. Regarding the question, If you mean the road where the vehicle and tank are, it is a solid color in a layer below with some shadows painted over in a different layer above. You can use the 3D grid if you need it as shown in the video and mask or delete the areas you don't want to be shown. And for the streets in between the buildings it is the base include in the 3D material. Hope it make sense and helps.

I see. I didn't make that 3D street, it is part of the 3D Material (A Downtown Alley) I bought from Clip Studio Assets. But it seems like a large 3D plane placed as a base with some texture or color. If you try to do that on Clip Studio Paint you can use 3D Primitives and add an image material or make your own. Hope it helps.

What machine are you using? Even loading a bar stool object slows my machine to a deadly crawl. I can barely move even one object.
@EdDesignTips2 жыл бұрын
Depending of the computer and the 3D model (polygon number, vertices, texture, data size) the operation can be slow and sometimes can show black screens and freezing. So, to manipulate large 3D data is recommended to use Intel Core i7 or similar. However, I have used Core i5 and works too but not as fast. Also, a graphic card would be a good addition, something like the GTX 1050, similar or better. Hope it helps.

Interesting question. To be honest I don't know. However, right now you can change the method for rendering from [Sub Tool Detail>Preferences]. And for 3d Primitives (Cube, Sphere, Plane) you can add map textures either from files or 'Materials' but this only works with 3d Primitives. Hope it helps!

Line extraction is for ex users but you can use an artistic filter in pro. I don’t know why you can’t maybe you didn’t choose the right layer or something like that
@EdDesignTips3 жыл бұрын
On the Pro version you can use the Artistic Filter, just make sure to use it on a Raster Layer. If is a 3d layer I would recommend you to duplicate the layer first. LT convert to lines and tones is for the EX version only. If you have a Samsung Galaxy device you can get 6 months for free if you install the app from the "Galaxy Store". Interesting question. I am not really sure how you are planning to do that animation but if you want to use the same perspective and camera rotation for both characters and the building, place them in the same layer sounds just right and probably time saving. However, I would recommend you to start with something small and quick first and see if that works. Hope it helps.
