@@Gabierama i absolutely love it. Zero malfunctions with Sellier & Bellot 115/124 gr. Blazer Brass used to work back in March but I bought a case in june and it didnt work. Blazer and Federal Champion is plated ammo and the manual says use jacketed ammo, as it will foul the gas piston. Fiocchi is jacketed but underpowered and will not cycle.

I tried out your combo of carbine buffer with Tubbs flatware short stroked (with quarters) and got bolt bounce resulting in a light strike. Have you experienced this? Long stroked, it works great for me.

@@ferretgt500 interesting. I have had zero light strikes to this day. Aside from shooting it the first time out of the box, it’s been short stroked the whole time. I did switch the carbine buffer back into my 5.56 and I’m currently using a modified Armaspec gen 4 carbine weight buffer. I’m thinking about picking up the Taccom air buffer for the JP-5 and trying that. It’s basically been 100% reliable for me.

I use the double alpha trigger guard holster on my creator, limited optics, which works extremely well. The big dog holster works, and is Kydex. I prefer trigger guard holsters for my 2011 as well. They don’t mark up the finish and are very fast. The downside is that you have to make sure that the trigger guard is locked in properly. Otherwise the gun hits the ground.😊

@@jaceprovo it’s made by selective laser sintering. Nylon is what is commonly used. I dont know the exact nylon formula they use though.

I’m using the Racer pouches. Thin side insert with i think the thick back spacer. It’s the same size as my shadow 2. I can fit a glock mag in it if I had to, but it’s a little tight. Hope that helps. Make sure you’re using true FMJ bullets like S&B. Plated bullets that are labeled as FMJ such as Blazer or Federal Champions will seize your piston. Enjoy it!

@@Cwjones103 same here, blazer was my go to as I can easily find it locally. I’m sure the plated ammo labeled as FMJ causing malfunctions is what gives the Alien a bad rap for reliability. My Alien has been perfect with S&B and i dont even clean it very often.

@@Cwjones103 Fiocchi 115gr is FMJ, but i dont think it’s loaded hot enough. Mine will not cycle reliably even with the light weight recoil spring. WWB is FMJ, i’ve only shot a box of it, so i dont have enough round count with that ammo to trust it for a match.

Does it fit in the holster with the thumb rest attached. What hanger did you use? Are you happy with the setup? Do you know if the Double Alpha X holster would work?

@@MichaelKennedy-k2qyes it fits with the thumbrest if it is in the farthest aft (shortest reach) position if the rest is in the horizontal position. It will fit further forward with the rest in the vertical position. You could dremel it for more clearance if required. The Alpha X fits. I have both and prefer the Carnivore. It is possible to bind the Alpha X, and the Alien’s rail rubs on the aluminum body of the holster enough to removing the anodizing.

Yes, that’s because it is straight out of the box with a lifter that will cycle just about any ammo. This is nowhere close to being tuned. A different lifter changes it dramatically.

I’m a new shooter but I’m curious. Why would you hit the steel 2 times on your first stage if it isn’t activating anything/ exposing another popper. Did you call you first shot off and it hit? Just curious! Also you can’t tease us with a carbon wing and not show the whole car haha. Good work!

@@brandonjohnston1425 I dont do any life fire outside of matches, which I shoot once a month, 2 if I’m lucky. A previous match had a ton of activators that I ended up waiting on, I doubled steel at this match for practice. It was to see how fast I could split on steel and get good hits, that way I can be more aggressive and transition of that steel and not have to worry about the steel falling or not. Got plenty of pictures of the car on instagram under the same name!

@@FPSsuper i love it. Super soft and has been 100% reliable with zero issues. I was never a fan of direct blowback AR9’s so I’ve never owned them. I had owned the MPX PCC model prior to this and this beats it hands down.

Do you think you participating in shooting sports has helped you with autocross, or vice versa? Proficiency in both seems to be intensely vision-based.

@@ferretgt500 I’ve been doing motorsports way before shooting. I think they’re pretty similar in terms of the mental side of having to learn a course quickly. I’d say the vision is different because in shooting, you should be target focused on the one you’re shooting at, in autocross, if you hard staring an element, you’re probably off the line for the next element, as you’re chasing cones. Your car should already be setup for the following element.

That thing shoots flat! Do you think the ejection pattern is safe enough to use left handed? I want one but it looks like it throws brass straight backwards lol

With the default lifter and short length of oull, you would get smacked in the face if you shoot nose to charging handle for sure. With the optional lifter that is better suited to factory ammo the eject pattern is more like 4:30 instead of 5:30. Should be ok with longer LOP and not NTCH. I’ll have to test it out. Yes. It quickens the cyclic time so you get a rocking motion since AR’s were designed for a longer cartridge. It’s already a very soft shooter so it doesnt need the full travel to prevent the bcg from hammering parts.

@@jackwickerI currently have a kynshot RB5000HP that my buddy was selling in it. It just dampens the end of the stroke a bit more. Since I already have it, i’ll continue to use it. I dont feel that it’s a necessary component, I’d be just as happy with the carbine buffer setup that’s in this video.

@@ZEE0H6 gotcha. I have a maxim Defense Roller Delayed Buffer behind a conventional ar9 upper, and it's definitely an improvement over a blowback ar9 with a Kynshot buffer, but not on the level of the JP5 or how I imagine the MEAN upper is. Have you had the chance to compare your setup to a JP5?

@@jackwickerI havent had a chance to try a JP-5. The RO in the video is the only person I know that has shot one. His opinion was that it wasnt a big enough difference between a JP-5 and his GMR-15 setup. No idea what lockpiece or how the JP-5 he shot was setup. His GMR-15 handloads would not cycle my gun with the P lifter installed, so it must be a very soft load. He shot mine with factoty Fiocchi and was very impressed with it and looked into getting one.

I dont think colt mags will fit due to the 2 steel rails the BCG rides on. Im only at 1500 rounds through mine, but ejection is still as consistent as day one. I dont plan on changing it till it breaks.

There are actually quite a few videos on why glock mags suck for pccs, the best sub guns in the world use what type of mag? Double feed or single feed presentation? There's your answer.

Just install my Timney Alpha yesterday, after ten rounds it turn dead and slide does not come off, have to remove the striker pin. Range guy told me to bend the connect to make more space for the bar, but still doesn't work.

No I havent shot JP-5, wish someone I knew had one. This shoots much softer than any blowback in my area. Out of the box, the recoil and muzzle rise is very comparable to an MPX if you’ve ever shot one. I currently have a kynshot 5000HP and the optional P lifter in mine right now. Definitely dont need the kynshot though.

@@ZEE0H6 yeah I currently have an aero EPC 9 with a brekke 10.5. Running it with the kynshot hd 5015 and a 308 spring. I thought my PCC was tuned nice until I tried a friends JP5. The JP is insane. I thought it was all hype but the dot never left the window when I was doing multiple doubles. Did you remove the EPC 9 ejector from the lower so you can run their integrated ejector?

I did not have extra drag from the plunger. I ran a lightened safety plunger spring. Some plungers have a pretty sharp corner, sanding it to create a smoother radius would fix that.

This trigger can be adjusted in str 9 s combat? because it is a glock 19 clone gen 3 4
I copied this exact setup but the trigger bar fails to travel far enough to fully depress the sear and release the striker. I have a video on my channel. It seems the trigger bar gets stopped by the MBK prematurely. Any ideas? It is a Gen 3 timney trigger correct? I’ve bent the connector in and out but it doesn’t make a difference
