Love mine. I changed the hand guard and added an angled foregrip. Stock hand guard gets hot fast. I have about 1000 rounds in mine with 0 failures with cheap ammo. I want to say it’s slightly more accurate than my LWRCI DI. Great rifle!!

Thanks for this. The release button is hard to push in sometimes. The design is a lot like the M17 where for the specific gun that I ended up with I have to push it against a plastic block specifically designed for the purpose. Still, the APX is a great gun and tremendous value. Also make sure that the release lever is vertical when I reassemble.

... Henry is a success story because it listens to customers ... for instance the Browning BLR levergun has the justified reputation of a lousy factory trigger ... for years complaints fell on deaf ears at Browning about the BLR trigger ... then Henry brought out the Long Ranger which has a superb trigger out of the box and captured "the BLR market" within months ... congrats once again to Henry

... I do a couple of major cleanings of my Marlin 336SS a year by removing the bolt using the cleaning rods, copper/nylon brushes and patches & of course Hoppe's #9 ... I do intermediate day by day cleanings with a bore snake & Hoppe's or maybe just the bore snake alone ... I pass the bore snake in from the receiver loading gate and pull it straight out the muzzle without the pull string rubbing on the critical crown area ... the bore snake won't wear or cut gun metal but if any silica sand or grit is in the bore snake cloth or pull string it will ... I wash the bore snakes in soapy water every once in a while to get rid of grit
@user-po9hy9th7w24 күн бұрын
... never was fond of scopes until I needed them ... as you age the normal process of vision declination is iron sights ... aperture sights ... fluorescent sights ... red dots ... scopes ... I jumped from aperture sights to small footprint scopes (like the Leupold Ultralight series) as I owe it to other users of the wilderness to be able to identify clearly what I'm shooting at ... if getting a clear sight picture costs me a deer on a rare occasion so be it
@user-po9hy9th7w24 күн бұрын
... starting a year or so after the CNC retooling at the Ilion, NY factory the Remlin rifles were generally a lot better than earlier Remlin iterations ... my Remlin 336SS (microgroove rifling) made in the last year of production before the Illion Remlin plant went belly up and closed was as good as the Ruger Marlins produced today ... I replaced the factory trigger, ejector and mag follower with WWG custom parts and the hammer spring with a Wolff custom spring so it's even better ... very accurate shooting and butter smooth cycling

If I am mistaken on that, and it is the standard one, it is pretty good for sure. It is much smoother than the milspec one I got on my Sig M400 (which I replaced with a Triggertech). I am pretty sure when I bought it, it listed the EPT though. But I can be mistaken
