Cheers Ali, that Aircon Pump Looks solid enough but you don’t know where these Parts are made half the time. That 40 tonner problem hasn’t just happened, if it’s been out then it’s been a quick refit and the mounting Bolts haven’t been tightened properly. If it had started vibrating a while back then that’s down to the operator. See you on the next one 🤙

The fuse saver is a great idea but one can use a 12 volt incandescent light bulb across the fuse if there is a short the bulb will light up. (ohms law) about the only thing I remember form school days :)
@seanhughes63652 күн бұрын
I would almost put money on it the 225 with the cracked plastics is cleaned with a pink cleaning product? The dam stuff used in excess also known to cause bad contact electrical problems if it gets in fuse board or elec connections

Hi Ali keep up the videos spot on. I worked for a well known country wide Hose replacement company and you have hit on one of our main problems different fitting types on the same piece of equipment!! The worse was probably ORFS I would travel up to 100 miles sometimes to replace an "O" ring which could only take 5 minutes.

What are the advantages of "high -track" set-up on diggers ? Also, where do you think the 5 ltrs. of hydraulic fluid went ? It is a "sealed system" is it not ,so you should see some sort of seepage somewhere?
@alisdiggerdiary4 күн бұрын
I think the driver had a bust hose since the last time it was serviced, the high track is ideally suited to the forestry as it straddles the stumps so you don’t need to pull them out in front of you
@anthonyshaw72515 күн бұрын
Ali, a lot of manufacturers state you can use engine oil in the hydraulic system, 15/40 listed where I have worked, makes the oil darker but not harmful to the components 15/40 is between 46 & 68 grade, we also used to use FNH(Ford New Holland) 10/30 oil in hydraulics.

Cheers Ali, I do drop into Threlkeld occasionally, not far from me. I used to work on Crawler Cranes years ago so can relate to what’s going on here. The last time I did breakdowns and repair on these was around the millennium so they were still being used then and occasionally now although not as a face shovel. Hope you had a good time. All the best for now.
